My husband and I had a wonderful stay for 3 nights. We had the Atlas room and we basically had the roof to ourselves. It's ideally located right near Hamman Ziani and Bahia Palace, and a quick >10 min walk to Jemma el fna so it does not get noisy at night. I was a little disappointed with the breakfast...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in March. The Riad was in a great location: 10 minute walk to the Place, souks, and restaurants. We were very glad we had them arrange taxi transport from the train station. We paid 50 dh to be brought from the train station to our door. The taxis have to drop...

We stayed for 3 nights in the Atlas room of the Riad and we had a lovely stay. The riad is very beautiful, the room was clean and cozy, the breakfast was good (very good homemade yogurt) and our hosts, Abdel and Zahira were very nice, helpful and welcoming. A nice quiet place were you can relax after a crazy...

Me and my girlfriend stayed for week in this Riad and we absolutely loved it! Abdel and Zahira were awesome guests attending to every single one of our needs. We stayed at the Atlas room which is located in the terrace with a beautiful view. Every night Abdel would offer us mint tea which we drank at the fireplace in...

To avoid being ripped off here treat the owners of this riad as you would any other trader in Marrakesh. The owners, a Christian French couple, invited us to share their Christmas Eve dinner. As a non-meat eater the menu was a disaster – oysters, foie gras, baked fennel and chocolate gateaux. I was unaware of the menu when accepting...

Management response:

Being too friendly with guests has sometimes bad consequences, specifically with a person in bad faith. This couple has spent a week into the RIAD SOUMIA and we have misunderstanding for Christmas dinner. - Ian J. has not been charged for the dinner ( free ), even if we served to him specific dishes for non-meat eater and drinks as...

Our stay at Riad Soumia was very pleasurable and definitely worth repeating! The Riad is beautifully moroccan styled (there are pictures of the construction progress in a folder). We stayed for 7 nights (Zagora room), and were very friendly welcomed by Abdelfattah. The Riad was clean (our room were cleaned daily) and very quiet (from the hectic medina). The breakfast...

Read Soumia was just as good on the second visit as it was on the first! That says it all really, but apart from the obvious (clean, good food etc) I must add that both staff and owners made us really welcome and went out of their way to help in every respect. The Riad has a very friendly feel...

This is a stylish, quiet, well-priced, roomy and austerely attractive French-owned Riad in an excellent Medina position close to the Bahia Palace and Place des Ferblantiers, just around the corner from the Maison Tiskiwin and convenient for local shops for water and snacks.. The owners, who may or may not be present, have deep professional roots in the country and...

Abdel and his collegue we're very friendly and helpful and made our stay for three days a great joy. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was fine. The Riad itself is very quiet and still very close to where everything's happening in Marrakech. A triple A rating!
