We went out of season so to be fair I wasn't expecting to use the pool when it was about 6C outside! Our room was at the top on the terrace. Decent enough with a friendly hotel manager. Meknes is small and not far by train from Fes. The hotel helped me arrange a trip to volubilis (Roman outpost) which...

After spending 3 days in Casablanca, I took the train to Meknes and from the train station I took a petit taxi to Riad Yacout. I walked into the this Riad and immediately felt at home. The Riad was gorgeous, so clean and so aesthetic. I was warmly greeted and as is the tradition I was given some mint tea....

We have spent a night at riad Yacout with the family. Having read the reviews and based on the pictures you expect something great. The hotel is nice and clean although it shows signs that it is neglected. The swimming pool barely has water and the upper terrace area is not looked after. Some chairs are broken. Rooms are nice...

Great staffs, our room was on the main floor, breakfast is excellent. The location is perfect, inside the medina, so it was great for walking. It is just a two minutes walk to the Bab Mansour, the greatest door of Morocco. I appreciated my stay there.

We stayed here for a week in Dec 2016. Everyone is extremely nice, the riad is in the heart of the old city, and the food is great. The park right outside the riad is under construction and the future state images look amazing. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a riad in the old city.

An amazing job was done to restore this previously derelict old building, as you can see by photos near the entrance. Furnishing is relatively simple, but overall the environment is calm and relaxed. The riad is ideally located, only a minute or so from the main square and start of the medina area. At the time we were staying there...

We booked a room in this Riad without checking trip advisor and I am not surprised to discover that it comes 2nd in Meknes. This is a typical Riad which means that all the rooms have a view on the patio with no windows on the outside. The rooms are also pretty small but it is quite predictable as it...

PROS: friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, rooftop an great location CONS: the rooms are so-so....no real separation between the room and bathroom in the room we had, so it gets really hot and has a damp smell.

We did our booking two months in advance and at the moment we arrived we were told that the hotel was full. Layla did the effort possible to keep us happy and got us a room in another place around the corner, still a nuance after driving for hours in a strange country

We've been very spoiled along our Morocco trip so far, so when we arrived at the Riad Yacout, it didn't quite compare. The riad is beautiful but a bit outdated. The service was friendly but when we needed help getting taxis and rides, they weren't able to call anyone for us.
