You can see that once was something really great.
Old rooms. The smell inside the rooms was not good..
Clean of course but small and not very comfy rooms.
The breakfast was really nice and the breakfast room very unique. But the...More
Since they are in the process of restoring the entire hotel (the common spaces are mostly finished and absolutely stunning!), I was given a great deal on a spacious and beautiful 2nd floor room. Perched atop an ancient fortress wall with a panoramic view of...More
We Arrived at 0100, person on duty had great difficulty finding our booking. Our room was on top floor (no lifts) and the size of a postage stamp, bathroom not room to turn around in. Beds like concrete and pillows harder but we slept. Breakfast...More
When you step into this hotel you get a sense that it was once something special. It has a grand appearance, but it is rough around the edges. Our room was quite a walk to get to with no elevator and the hallway was dark....More

Yes a taxi can just get through the narrow streets right to the hotel. It is walking distance but up a steepish hill so if you have luggage then a taxi is helpful. We paid £5 a few weeks ago which was too much.

Hi. The second floor facing the port has rooms with balcony, even a fabulous suite at the corner. I have been coming to Continental for 18 years and have always made the reservation directly with the hotel for a room with balcony. This spring however I booked online for a lower price, but the balcony wasn't included and I payed extra at the hotel as they know me. I discussed the matter with the management who told me this was a common misconception with online booking, they had informed the company several times. I even ended up straightening the situation with them. My review of May 2018 has a picture of the balconies.
