Maputo camp is the perfect place for people who love the wild nature of Africa. Located directly in the area where the great migration happens. Gnus, Zebras, Giraffes, hyenas, Lions etc. directly around you. The service is great, the tends are just perfect with the showers under the sky and the food is excellent! I spent 3 days with the...

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this tented camp. What stood out the most was the food and the service. Both were absolutely excellent. But when speaking of food I'm referring to only the food made by the chefs on site at camp. We did not like our take-out lunches at all. I recommend either returning to camp for...

I stayed there with two friends. The staff are so kind and carefully provided a menu with my special diet request (no dairy or meat). Actually, it was the only place where I could eat freely and enjoy every bite. The shower is hot the whole time, the rooms are clean, they even prepare the bed before we sleep. After...

My Daughter and I had an awesome experience during our stay at Mapito Tented Lodge, the staff are friendly and very attentive, to our needs. Frank the manager takes time to meet all of his guest personally. You can tell he cares about his guest and his staff! From the moment we arrived we knew we were someplace special, the...

We stayed here for two nights while on a five day Safari in late April / early May. The camp is carved right out of the bush with a dozen or so large, well appointed tents. These are serious tents with proper beds, linens, lights, and running (hot) water. The only thing they didn't have were electrical outlets for charging...

We stayed at Mapito for 3 nights during safari in late November 2013 and loved it. The tents are nice and big with two compartments for sleeping and dressing (a good sized area to store & hang clothes), followed by a mostly covered, very private, but open bathroom area. Taking a nice, hot shower you can look up and see...

We arrived at the camp to find out we were the only ones there as it was the slow rainy season but the enployees spared nothing we were treated like Royalty. After a short speach on the lodge we were showed our tent which is nothing like any tent I have seen. A king sized bed surrounded by a mosquito...

I loved the camp! Very comfortable, great staff and fantastic food. Staying out in the middle of the Serengeti at night when there are no lights or noises other than the animals is wonderful. It was my favourite place that we stayed at in the whole 6 weeks we were away. Great stone walled outside bathroom with the stars for...
