Wow, this place is awsome. Large tents in middle of wilderness where elephants and giraffes roam. Expect minimal ammenities; limited water for the shower and no flushing toilet. But the food there in dining tent was excellent. Hats off to the chefs. We stayed 3 nights during our safari tour of Serengeti Natioal Park, and after the dusty and bumpy...

We stayed at the Serengeti Halisi Camp for 3 nights on October 2016. At the most basic level, a place like this should be able to offer you comfort and safety while not interfering with your direct encounter with nature. Halisi absolutely delivers. The camp is well maintained in general. The crew is efficient in providing hot showers, surprisingly sophisticated...

I have such fond, wonderful memories of Halisi. We stayed at Halisi Camp for two nights out of our 4 night/5day trip booked through African Scenic Safaris. We wanted a camping experience but with little home comforts and we were not disappointed. From the moment we were greeted with a fresh cool drink to the moment we left we felt...

Thanks to location in the middle of the savanne, with very decent tents on small scale, this has been one of our best experiences in Tanzania. The extremely gentle staff must be mentioned, as ingredient of this over all camping experience. Very warm welcome with fresh drink. Personally prepared warm shower through primitive though effective hanging construction. Nice beds. Food...

Like the Lake Natron Halisi camp, the Serengeti Halisi tented camp provides a true bush experience with exceptional comfort. Comfortable beds, bush showers, wonderful hospitality, great food--and all sorts of wildlife outside your tent at night (on our trip we had a leopard, hyenas, and elephants!) I had several conversations with Christoph, who served as the barman and waiter, about Tanzanian...

We spent 2 days in Halisi camp and during that time we felt we had made real friends. The camp staff were friendly but not obsequious. They seemed genuinely happy as a team. Armani the camp manager shared a his knowledge of Safari's and Tanzania. It was very interesting talking to him. James the waiter was quick to help us...

We stayed two nights in this Serengeti Halisi Camp after a two nights stay in Halisi Camp Lake Natron. The same set up we found here, but there is a difference in service. The warm, kind and committed atmosphere we felt in Lake Natron Halisi Camp could not be felt in the same way in this camp. Though it was all...

We stayed in a variety of tented camps in the Ngorogoro - Serengeti- Tarangire parks. This place was the best. They weren't very busy so we got treated like royalty. The camp was in a beautiful shady area. Grazing zebra in view, Giraffe ambling past for breakfast. Best food we had for our trip. Every meal was served in courses,...

We booked a 8 day private safari with Macho Halisi and enjoyed our trip to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater very much. Our driver guide Herry Temba was very kind and a careful driver. He was very patient when we wanted to stop to take a lot of pictures and also told us many interesting things about the culture, as...
