As part of my safari we were upgraded to the kirawira lodge. The tented camp was great with views of the Serengeti, with excellent facilities and service. The early morning call brings a valet with your choice of tea or coffee with a muffin, the four poster bed in the tent is comfortable and endless hit water in the bathroom. Not...

As part of a safari group we spent 2 nights in this hilltop luxury tented camp. The location is fantastic, atop a hill with tremendous views and the occasional nocturnal african wildlife sounds to boot! For those unfamiliar with this sort of tented accommodation, the rooms / tents are on a permanent wooden platform with pole framed ripstop canvas. The...

The tents are very well appointed and luxurious. Plenty of birds that come and visit the camp and a delight to be in the midst of the wilderness. But all tents have steps (4-5) to get into and by definition they are not handicap accessible to the physically challenged. Tents 18,19 and 20 are down a cobbled pathway with a...

We stayed here for 4 nights in July and I cannot speak highly enough of it. From the game walking through the camp, which was fun; the staff who were superb, to the rooms which were of the highest standard even if they were "tents". The food is excellent even if the menu is a bit limited (well you are...

We were upgraded to this property from the Serengeti Serena Lodge for reasons that a bit of a mystery, but neither of us had any complaints at all. We were a bit skeptical when our guide advised...

This is a truly beautiful tented camp. The tents are a throwback to the Victorian era, the decor is outstanding. They are big, spacious, comfortable and all have a large deck with amazing views. The pool area is very relaxing and the food is very good. You can get a massage on your tent deck overlooking the Serengeti. What an...

The rooms were beautifully appointed, baths were lovely, the food and service were great. The staff was friendly, and the grounds and lobby were beautiful, but unfortunately, the tent we stayed in had openings in the zippered door, it was in need of repair. We went to bed with no bug bites but woke with nasty welts. The doctor had...

This camp is located in the western part of the Serengeti. Although this camp is a Small Luxury Hotel, it has more a feel of the larger corporate chain Serena of which it is a part. Service and attention to detail is not up to the standards of some of the other small camps we visited. The menu in the...
