Small world is run by friendly staff and offers grest facilities. It is clean and has hot water. Lots of places to sit and relax and within walking distance to the local flea market and craft market. Good wifi and bar area.

I have had the pleasure of staying at both the Avondale and town lodges and I have been thoroughly impressed at the value for money that is offered. You can choose a variety of accommodation types from backpacking dorms, caravans, camping and ensuite comfort. You also have a choice of ordering meals or opting to self cater on the days...

We (my daughter and I) stayed on and off for about 4 -5 weeks in 2016 - the staff were fantastic. Friendly, always ready to help, and kept and eye on Sofia, so that I always felt that she was safe. There are a good selection of clean rooms to choose from as well as a dormitory and camping. We...

Stayed at this lodge with my husband, daughter and sister. Enjoyed our stay there. The staff and super friendly and always keen to help. The lodge is well maintained and very clean including the shared bathrooms. The other guests were amazing. It felt like a massive family staying together. My daughter especially loved it and keeps asking me to promise...

This is quite frankly the best place you can sleep at if you are on a budget. The self catering is the best option because they basically do not have much provisions on site to cater for an order. You need to place your order the day before so that they can go in town and buy the ingredients for...

I was in and out of Harare for a full month, and probably stayed here a collective two weeks. The staff was so nice and accommodating, super helpful in getting us around town (calling taxis and giving directions). They let us keep part of our luggage at the hostel while we spent a couple of days at Victoria Falls. The...

The atmosphere and the people reminds me of a hostel in Europe, which is great! However, we stayed during winter time and we were never able to shower with hot water and the rooms were cold with any kind of heater. The reason for lack of hot water was that there is only two bathrooms available for 5 rooms and...

Not too many people go to Harare. The hotels are expensive and this is a budget option for those who want access to CBD and shops for coffee or souvenirs. It's easy to get around on the kombi. The place is clean but a little run down. The owners are friendly and can organize tours. They have WIFI and a...

This is a nice place, but there are no "backpackers" here... I saw only local people. The employees are friendly, but in the cold Zimbabwean winters I was so cold I got sick. There is no heating and doors and windows are left wide open. In the dorm where I stayed, one woman had been there a month and had...

Dear Thank you for your valuable remarks. We will look into that next winter. Our fire place is on until 10:30 every winter. Due to climate change our winters are getting harsh especially at night. Point taken Thank you for your review. regards

Clean, quiet, decent location, good wifi, small but clean kitchen. Walking distance to the shops, the US embassy and the Mozambican embassy. You can get a chapa to anywhere at the Avalon shops down the road and the orange atm across from Food Lovers Market gives crispy US hundreds. The flea market is behind the Avalon shops and there is...
