My rating of this property weighs significantly on my love for the colonial Cape Dutch architecture and garden experience. If you're looking for a plush 5 star hotel experience with contemporary furnishings and high speed WiFi... this is not your hotel and you will find it to be below average. I personally love this hotel and I have stayed here...

I'm not sure why this place gets the reviews it does. I had a very mediocre stay. Pros: The gardens are nice Cons: They tried to check me into a room my colleague had recently vacated because of a broken hot water heater. When protested they gave me a very moldy smelling and dated one (room #1). When I asked...

After arriving at Harare airport to find our luggage had gone missing and having to drive through the potholed and unlit streets, finding the Bronte was like an oasis in the desert. A beer, dinner and friendly service helped relax our frazzled nerves and a great night's sleep in a comfortable bed left us refreshed and raring to go do...

I stayed here while in Harare for work and would recommend it to others. Being able to spend the evenings sitting at the tables outside and in the gardens is wonderful; much better than feeling cooped up and stuck inside a hotel room. The food was always delicious, and staff were very helpful. Over the weekend I walked to the...

Our Club has met at this venue about six times per year for either lunch or dinner for several years. Chef Hyde never disappoints. Christmas dinner this years was as good as I have had, anywhere. We will continue to meet there.

This is an upmarket place and their exquisite recently renovated rooms are in a class of their own. The old side has cheaper but decent accommodation. Gardens are simply awesome for landscape designers, artists and plants enthusiasts. Meeting rooms have relic art paintings which set the mood

This hotel has had a total makeover. I was last there 3 yrs ago and what a difference. The rooms are total renovated. All new linen , beds, towels . The gardens are still beautiful but the food is out of this world. The staff have not changed and are wonderful.

This is a lovely older style hotel with a great garden. Zimbabwe is expensive but this hotel will negotiate a corporate rate and there are cheaper room options if you are on a budget. The hotel is very secure and there are always taxis available at the gate. We stayed at the hotel almost seven weeks on business. In particular...

Dear NZ_Roaming2014 Thank you for reviewing your stay at the Bronte. We value your comments, especially regarding Elizabeth's excellent customer service in the Palm's Restaurant. We note your concerns regarding menu options and trust these will be addressed by our new menu. We also have a 2nd restaurant, Emmanuel's, as an alternative dining experience. Regards Famina
