Matetsi is a relatively new but well thought out property on the bank's of the Zambezi River. It's so immersive and palpable, takes you away from the stress life in a flash. The chalets are well done with native materials My visit was short but a certainly want to come back. Delectable classylllll

Our incredible 4 day holiday started the moment we were picked up by Milton at the airport; on arrival at Matetsi Lodge we were welcomed by friendly staff waving and smiling as we drove in- the sincerity and heart felt welcome was just the beginning of a very special holiday! Our rooms were incredible , from the luxury furnishings to...

The lodge itself is quite large but we had a very intimate experience with the majority of our game drives being private. We were also...

Staying at Matetsi was one of the most memorable travel experiences of my life! My husband and I stayed for several nights and enjoyed the wildlife, food, beautiful accommodation, and friendly staff. This was absolutely a gay friendly resort and we highly recommend it. Every meal felt like a gourmet meal straight from a five star restaurant in New York...

We travelled with our teenage son and had the family room. Matetsi was a great way to start our safari. Set our expectations for service, luxury, game viewing dangerously high. Loved it all, especially our butler, Obert, and our guide and tracker, Kheto and Noah. Have a look at the brochure and know that this special corner of the world...

This is a lovely location on the banks of the Zambezi where you can breakfast with hippos wallowing in the river in front of you, warthogs cropping the grass behind you and a cheeky baboon trying to see if he can outwit the staff to steal the breakfast rolls! Fabulous two days of game drives, seeing the falls and sunset...

Emily and myself spent 3 days / nights at the Lodge in early February this year. The place was phenomenal. From Peter the manager, to our server - Suku who ALWAYS had a smile on her face while providing exceptional service, and to our Safari team - Kheto our guide and his spotter Jonathan - is was the best experience....
