We began our 3-week tour of southern Africa in Zimbabwe, at Ilala Lodge. After 30+ hours of travel, it was wonderful to be welcomed at the Lodge with cool towels and refreshing drinks. Since this was only a one-night stay, we were all prepared to walk straight away to the Falls, despite the heat, but our staff member recommended we...

This hotel was a highlight of our trip, though a bit pricey. Lovely rooms, great restaurant and nice pool, as well as only a 10 minute walk to the falls entrance. Sadly there are a lot of intimidating souvenir salesmen outside the hotel (and everywhere in town) and the hotel was a great retreat.

Ilala lodge is a small colonial-style hotel, very close to the falls and walkable to the entrance of the national park in about 15-20 mins. Two elements really stand out . The staff are so friendly and helpful, they love to engage with the guests and the food is top quality . we had planned to eat at different restaurants...

we were recommended this hotel by Trail finders, who we use for multiple centre/flight holidays. Beautiful, we had a large room overlooking at gardens, plenty of wild life visits each day to add to the attraction!! Breakfast was beautiful, staff were superb and great setting! could see mist from falls! We ate dinner in restaurant too, excellent. Cannot recommend it...

The nearest hotel to Victoria Falls, this hotel has been expanded from its original 16 rooms and we had one of the bigger, newer ones. It was equipped with everything we needed with a patio onto the garden where warthog, banded mongoose, impala and monkeys roamed at will. A watchful member of the hotel staff stood in the garden with...

There were 12 in our group, traveling from Kasane. We were greeted with cold cloths and cocktails. Our portfolios were put together, rooms assigned and luggage brought to the rooms. We didn't have anything scheduled right away, so we enjoyed lunch at the hotel and checked out the grounds. We stopped at our room before lunch. It was very nice...

my boyfriend and I arrived here on Sunday 6th November 2016 and stayed for 3 nights. We were in a deluxe double room with a balcony that was spacious, clean and lovely. We sat down on the balcony Sunday afternoon with a "beverage" from the mini bar and were amazed by the view of the mist rising from the falls,...

What a fun resort! Every morning I saw a different visitor in front of my window. The lobby is filled with photos of Dr. Livingston and other related photos. The food is very good and the staff is nice and humbled. Caution the water is extremely hot. I would suggest when going shopping take a car, although in walking distance...

Me and my wife chose to honeymoon in South Africa. We I can't not express how much we enjoyed every minute and at each stop we wanted to spend more time. We for got a craft that we purchase in the open market (which have the best deals) ilala lodge went above and beyond and drove our bowl to the...

What a wonderful weekend spent in this slice of heaven! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the rooms were stunning, the staff friendly and helpful and the food delicious! Our only regret is not being able to stay longer! Special mention to Anymore, who added to our stay.
