The hotel has a free shuttle service from the airport (it has a kiosk at Arrivals). The staff are welcoming and friendly. Rooms are clean and the food is both acceptable and reasonably priced. The building is pleasant with a large atrium and every room has a balcony. There is free wifi. Check-in and check-out are efficient. There are ATMs...

For me this hotel delivers what you would expect. Clean, good service (although the food was a little slow in coming) with good facilities including wifi. It made a good first stop in Ethiopia and base for seeing the city. There is a money exchange / bank facility on the first floor. Don't trust the morning call as I think...

It's unexpected because you drive through real 3rd world Africa to get there and when you arrive this luxury building seems very misplaced. There are aspects of 3rd world like the 30 minutes it takes to run a bath but on the whole its a great hotel and the staff are very friendly and willing, as are most Ethiopians. Well...

It was my 3rd times to stay in this hotel. I booked the hotel in advance and took free shuttle to the hotel, approx. 20 min drive. The receptionist was quite efficient, finished my booking and my colleague's in no more than 20 minutes, no welcome drink though. Overall this is a nice hotel with good rate, clean rooms, good...

As a last minute decision, I agreed to meet some friends from the US in Ethiopia. They were staying at the Hotel Ghion but it was unavailable on my dates and the TripAdvisor recommendations were not good. They were however spot on as my friends are not having a great experience there. I chose the Intercontinental as I have only...

I organized a two-week international conference at the Hotel Intercontinental Addis and stayed there with a group of 25 people in June/July 2013. The time that I spent at this hotel was great. The staff was very helpful, friendly and always inquired if all was well and if we needed anything. I must say we spend most of our time...

I stayed here for a week in August this year and was pretty impressed. We arrived from the UK early in the morning and, although our rooms weren't ready, we didn't have to wait too long and some complementary coffee certainly eased the pain! Rooms were spacious, clean and well kept. All rooms have a mini bar (very reasonable at...

The swimming pool is heated and beautiful, although not too big. There's a poolside bar as well. The SPA compromises of: gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna and various services such as professional massage. There's also a very generous area where you can relax. The entrance includes of course use of a locked cabinet, towel and flip flops. Reasonable prices. I understand there...

This hotel was block booked for a conference for us, so we arrived with some trepidation after reading some of the reviews! We only ate breakfast in the hotel which was fine, if not exactly thrilling! The service was friendly but sketchy. The room was unlovely, but have stayed in worse! We had good linen on the beds and they...
