I just got back home to the USA after staying here for two weeks. Michael, the manager, speaks excellent English and is super-helpful. The rest of the staff were great and very friendly. I had a hot shower every day and a nice breakfast. The house is in a nice part of town with stable electricity and internet. Good price.... More

Me and a friend stayed here two times while writing our essay in Ethiopia, first in March/April and then again in early June. We felt so welcome from the very first night (picked us up at the airport without extra charge since we were staying a few days). Michael the owner is fluent in english and goes out of his... More

We were met by Michael at the airport and straight away he was incredibly friendly. Basic but cozy accommodation. The room was clean and comfortable but the bathrooms were a little run down. Breakfast was delicious and Michael was helpful throughout. We recommend this as a place to stay in Addis.

We stay only one night in this B&B, but the first thing that you can feel is that is a real family B&B. We arrived so late from the airport, and we ask if it was possible to eat something because we travel with babies. When we arrived in the hotel, we had an amazing surprise: on the table we... More

Just finished up a 2.5 week trip to Ethiopia, coming from the US. My 3 friends and I picked Family Cozy because of the strong reviews. We were immediately greeted by Michael, who is sincere, high energy, knowledgable, and will stop at nothing to ensure you feel right at home. He immediately walked us to a spectacular restaurant "Tropical Light"... More

Upon arrival Micheal and the cozy crew welcomed us and helped us right away in finding bus tickets, a place to eat, connecting to wifi, laundry, etc. The staff speaks English which was great... The place reflects its name as it is indeed homely and comfortable accommodation located in the Bole area of Addis. I received exceptional hospitality and assistance from the owner, Michael and his staff. This place is very welcoming, especially for a lone traveller.

“I had the third floor front room with balcony. I like that you can hear the call to prayer in the morning and the birds in the lot next door. Also, the balcony was a nice bonus for the mornings!”

“Warning: I was robbed by 5-7 year olds near this B&B. The hotel had warned me about them but the kids caught me off guard. A few of them would surround you and start begging for change, by the time you are done pushing them your phone/wallet/watch would be gone. Trust me these kids are GOOD ( I have stayed in Afghanistan, trained with the military and grew up in India, I know when someone is sneaking stuff out of my poickets) These kids are experts. I only lost a Blackberry though since I realized when they were going for my wallet and then they ran off in different directions. Be careful near the YEMENI RESTAURANT about 100 metres from the B&B. It is the operation area for these kids.”
