Absolutely horrid. Was put up here for the night with Ethiopian airlines for my layover. The room was filthy with the bed hardly made, and sheets clearly not changed. The bathroom was disgusting, with hairs blocking the drain in the shower, and hairs all over...More
Perhaps my shortest stay in a hotel, 11pm to 6am, courtesy of Ethiopian Airlines - unexpected and welcome as I was dreading an 11-hour connecting flight wait in the airport lounge when the air hostess handed me a voucher to stay at the Churchill. Allegedly...More

The location of the hotel is good. The rooms are large but there is damp in the internal walls from the bathroom. The food was poor. The beds were fine. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was available at no cost and is secure.

There are a couple of nice markets close to the hotel, the first one is, Mecanto it is the biggest market in Africa and it is situated in Kenya Street it is a couple of blocks away, best would be to take a taxi. Just keep a close eye on your wallet in the market. You can bargain hard there. The second one is Walk the Talk in Roosevelt Street opposite the Adamp Pavilion.
The art market is called the Local Market in African Street it is close to the Weygoss Guesthouse and Ethio Super Market.
None of the markets above it right next to the hotel, but not far away. The Locals shop at a market called Shiromeda Market, it is at the foot of the Entoto Mountain.
All the best and hope you get great bargains and what you are looking for.
