Its is difficult to fault the Lokanga Boutique Hotel... superbly located with stunning views out over Tana. The décor is distinctly Parisian... each of rooms is unique but finished to an exceptionally high standard, complete with chandeliers. The staff were friendly; the service was excellent and the food was delicious. On a very minor off-note, one of the rooms was...

We were only passing through Tana and stayed here one night. It fit our needs perfectly and we were happy with the choice - partly because we had the right expectation. This is Antananarivo, so do not expect things to be of the highest western standards for a bed and breakfast type inn. The inn is indeed old and there...

We stayed at the Lokanga for just one night in Nov 2015 before travelling in Madagascar. We were in theBaroque room that was accessed by an outside staircase and had stunning views, access to a lovely balcony seating area. The room is very large - no separate bathroom with the freestanding bath at one end of the room and the...

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this hotel for 2 nights in August. The hosts have a wonderful level of personal attention and were very flexible and helpful. This is a fantastic place to stay and is much better then going to 1 of the big hotels. The views are amazing. Although the hotel is dated, this is its charm...

Last day before returning home and what better way to spend than exquisite cuisine, great views, very well considered quirky hotel and great staff. The room was fairytale with private balcony! All staff great english speaking and very kind. Only a few rooms so you feel like a private house! Food is 5 star! Can't fault this place.

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon in Madagascar and couldn't have asked for a better start to our trip. We were welcomed with a complimentary beverage before being escorted to our spacious and very clean room. The room had french doors which opened onto a terrace overlooking the city and with a great view of the sunset....

My girlfriend and I stayed here as a one night stop off on our way to the rainforest. The staff were really friendly and very accommodating. The room had a nice large bath and comfortable bed with mosquito netting. The view was incredible from the room balcony and restaurant terrace. Food was very tasty and of a high standard. We...

Well deserved first position. The hotel has a great garden with very good views to the whole Antananarivo. Perfect spot to enjoy the sunset. We arrived here after a long road trip, and we got a really warm welcome. The staff here is so nice. Talking perfect English, and even a little Spanish. This always make things easier ;). Our...

This place is an oasis of peace in one of the most buzzing cities I have ever been. A little secluded, one could easily pass by without noticing it. And that would be a pity. There's a very nice terrace from where one has a panoramic view over Tana. The food is great and so is the service. I also...

If you arrive on a winter evening you'll likely be greeted in the foyer with a crackling fireplace and a fresh glass of local fruit juice. If you enjoy being a bit of a drive outside the city, yet with a view above it all, this is the place for you. Service was quite good, and everyone was very friendly....
