We stayed here on two separate occasions within a ten day period, the first was on arrival in Antananarivo for two nights and it was everything we love in a small guest house. The rooms beautifully appointed, the building itself is wonderful with big light spaces and large windows looking over the city from its elevated position. Two minute walk...

It was great to arrive in Tana - not knowing exactly what to expect - and stay somewhere so comfortable and welcoming on our first night. Although Maison Gallieni has beautifully appointed stylish rooms, it was also informal and unstuffy and great for a family. We took advantage of the in-house dinner which was delicious.

We stayed here for 2 nights halfway through our very strenuous trip and needed some calm and relaxation. This beautiful boutique hotel, small but stunning, ticked all the boxes. Our room and bathroom were spacious allowing us to unpack and repack as necessary with ease. The girls were a delight, so helpful, they took our muddy clothes away for washing...

Our tour was arranged by The Earth Trip who suggested this as a memorable hotel for the last of our three one night stays in Tana. They were quite right. Fantastic modern room and the best breakfast we had throughout our 18 day trip. A good antidote to the bustle of the city.

We were due to visit La Maison on two separate occasions on our trip to Madagascar but due to a flight cancellation it was only one in the end, but what a wonderful and exquisite place to stay especially at the end of a very enlightening and pleasurable visit to the country. A gem of an oasis. The staff were...

After staying at two clean but basic hotels in the country, this hotel was a welcome relief. The hotel is stunning and the staff is incredible. My room was beautiful. The shower was amazing with perfect water pressure and temperature. The hotel is elegant and tastefully done. The breakfast is scrumptious and homemade. I didn't want to leave. The first...

We stayed one night at this gorgeous hotel which is in the heart of Antananarivo right at the top of a hill. The views across the city are amazing. Our room was very modern and chic with patio doors out onto the pool area - although it was too cold to swim!. It was lovely to have a night of...

We stayed at this hotel three times on our three week trip in Madagascar. They were mainly overnight pre or post flight stays. We stayed in two different rooms on the ground floor and loved both. Open showers in the room but we did not mind. The hotel is more like a beautiful untouched house, gorgeous decorative features which is...

A beautiful hotel in Tana, very secure and intimate setting. Very comfortable room albeit strange to have no wall separating the shower from the rest of the room! The staff were very welcoming and cooked us a delicious dinner and breakfast. Perfect for our first night in Madagascar.

We had just arrived, after long and tedious flights from Scotland. We were a little surprised when our driver drew up at what seemed to be a wall, and when no-one appeared for a while. But thereafter the door in the wall opened, and the hospitality was perfect. There was a lovely spacious room with a separate large bathroom, lots...
