Just say we ate here on a pass through evening. The staff were charming, service excellent as was the food and four of us with three courses each and drinks spent about £85.00. Super views of the town during the day I would guess. We ate outside on the terrace.

Hotel & Spa Palissandre - best location/view, nice restaurant, nice breakfast, friendly staff, nice spa, nice/warm wooden rooms, 4 nights stay, perfect place to explore Tana, reception desk a little slow, very nice hotel over all..

I really liked my stay at the Palissandre. I liked the wooden decor and rustic look of the hotel, which gives you a home away from home feel. When you look closely at the decor and the writings hung on the wall as part of the decor then you come to realise that Palissandre is the name of a wood,...

If I would ever to go back to Tana, I would not hesitate to book this place again. After two weeks of trying to adjust to malagassy hotel and service standards (which are pretty much non-existant), this place comes as a respite and a welcome surprise in terms of the top quality it offers. It may not look so from...

I spent 5 nights and 6 days in this very cosy hotel. I stayed in one of Suites which is always neat and tidy. The restaurant is very good with fine French cuisine from a very talented local chef. The SPA treatment was also good and not too expensive. The staff are always helpful and the Hotel Manager who is...

Medium sized boutique type hotel on the hill. Great views off the back side (ask for a room facing the open city) and nice restaurant with some excellent choices. As other reviews have said, furnishings and such could use an update, especially the gym equipment. Luckily what the place lacks in updates it makes up for in a lovely staff...

Stayed at this hotel a couple of times during my Madagascar visit. The hotel is older and the rooms could use an update but the rooms are a good size and clean. Ask for a room with a view of the city. We ate in the restaurant a number of times. Food was good. Food service was generally good with...

Upon arriving back in Tana after two weeks of experiencing the wonders of Madagascar while hunting for lemurs, our tour leader took our group of 9 here for lunch. We did not stay the night at the hotel, we simply ate here. Situated on a hillside in the heart of Antananarivo, the dining room and terrace offered views of the...

Stayed in this hotel on 2 occasions and thoroughly enjoyed both stays. The hotel sits in the middle of town on a hill with great views of the city. Must admit as we were driving to the hotel I was not that impressed by the neighbourhood (it was night) but there was nothing to worry about at all. Check in...
