There is some quirky charm to this smallish family run hotel that is located on a side street close to the restaurants and shops on Julius Nyerere and Eduardo Mondlane. The room decor, with hard wood floors and trim, has a retro styling dating from when the Portuguese were still here in the early 1970s. Staff and service are ok...

Definitely backpacker accommodation. Overpriced, tiny rooms, very basic and untidy. Bathroom again very small, untidy and basic. Hot water very irregular. The breakfast?..... what was it? Not a good experience.

My first time to Mozambique and I stayed in the Hoyo Hoyo. It definitely was not the best hotel experience but overall it was fine. I needed a place to sleep, it was a clean and basic room. Shower was fine. Wifi was problematic. Nice to have a restaurant downstairs. Food was fine. Prices good.

The hotel has backpacker standards, but prices well above! Totally overpriced! Tiny rooms, very basic, not well maintained - switching on the aircon led to the whole floor being flooded with condensation water. The bathroom is again very basic, hot water very irregular, so you either freeze or burn yourself. The breakfast was very spartanic, too. Service was not welcoming...

...it certainly isn't the Ritz, but a decent and affordable place to stay for a few nights in generally pricey Maputo. Rooms are very small and a bit worn. Temperature of the shower could not be regulated (no, it wasn't cold, but scalding hot). Walking distance to Baixa and Polana. Indifferent staff.

Unfriendly receptionist at the check-in. Noising night, bad smelling of the bathroom, light off since 5 in the morning. I used this hotel (?) for one night during a long stay in Maputo since my main choice was overbooked for that night. Absolutely never again classification.

Too expensive for what you get. No way to discount and they want you to pay when you check in. Lady very unpolite at reception in the morning, toilet smelled a lot. Materasses are good but just behind they are working on a big building: it means you don't sleep since early in the morning. They say breakfast from 6.30:...

Well located, in the city center, this hotel is small. I have used their conference room for training sessions. The room is small but well equiped. The best in this hotel is the restaurant with very good food and with good price.

We were in Maputo on a Mission trip so we were at the whim of our hosts. They had not stayed here previously and I dare say would not return. The room was so tiny there was not room for your luggage except on the bed. The beds are Harder than a rock and very very small. The bathroom shower...
