Just completed a trip around spectacular Namibia, rented a Toyota Hilux 2 cab from Okavango Car Hire. What a great vehicle for the trip. Spotless. The vehicle was in great condition and extremely well maintained by the crew at Okavango Car Hire. Double fuel tank and higher spec tyres, just what is needed for driving miles ort gravel and sand... I organised a self drive two week tour around Namibia in August this year with my wife and 3 kids. I'd never done anything quite like that before I found these guys on the web and Natasha was quick to respond and helpful. But of course you read the reviews, which are nearly all positive, and you see the odd... More

I have been visiting Namibia 6 times a year on average for the past 8 years, both for leisure and business. I found Okavango about 4 years ago and have since only booked through them, even though I am an Avis preferred member. The quality of the fleet is exceptional and all vehicles are equipped for gravel roads and rough... More

Better rent a car somewhere else... Overall a not very nice holiday experience. We wanted a car with Navigation, which was not available. We lost our way, and were driving on a not official road. As the car had really old tyres we had a flat tyre. The owner contaced us and told us that the insurance company had cancelled... More

If you are looking for a company from which to rent a car in Namibia, look no further. Okavango Car Hire is simply top-notch. My husband and I just returned from a 2-week camping drive around Namibia, including Etosha National Park, and we had a perfect experience with Okavango. The staff were friendly and responsive over email or phone, and... More

We chose Okavango car hire after some on-line research and we cannot say a bad word about them. The car worked perfectly during our 7000 km. tour, there was no surprises when talking about the previously agreed prize or when getting our deposit back after returning the car. Friendly staff and great service. Would recommend it to any friend visiting... More

We hired a Toyota Hilux from Okavango car hire for a month and had a great experience. The car was in excellent condition and the staff and owners were extremely helpful. When we picked up the car, they went through our planned route and explained which roads would be suitable. They even provided a great map. They also provided a... More

Rented a Toyota Hilux diesel 4x4 2 cab from Okavango Car Hire for 2 weeks. This was the right choice. This is a locally owned company with great support and they provided a truck in excellent condition. In Namibia you will need a 4x4 if you are off B1 or B2. We helped out some other tourists who had 2... More

We rent a car with Okavango car hire. They were very welcoming people. Our flight was delayed but they still managed to arrange a pickup at the airport. The car was in perfect condition, all very clean. This company does not have the nasty small print that so many company's do.
