Stefan is a GREAT cook! Quality and atmosphere excellent. We went to a great Gemtour at Okapuka, 7 km away. Windhoek is very close, also (14km). Management is very motivated and professional. For coming visits we absolutely recommend Immanuel for a stay close to Windhoek!

Very personal reception of guests. Excelent food. Nice accomodation. Located outside Windhoek, on the road to Etosha. Due to extreme drought in the last years, vegetation was grey & brown (when present), but this did not affect the overall experience of semi-arid Windhoek.

I recently stayed at the Immanuel Wilderness Lodge for three nights. I was traveling by myself while on my way to volunteer at the Cheetah Conservation Fund for a few weeks. Everyone at the lodge were very accommodating (I highly recommend the 90 minute massage first thing, especially if coming in from a distant location!). The rooms are basic but...

We stayed here last sunday for 1 night before flying back home. The rooms are very nice, not luxurious but very comfortable. The dinner was just excellent, best food we had in all of Namibia! Freshly cooked by host Stephan. I would recommend Immanuel lodge to everybody who is looking for a charming place, great hospitality (Stephan, Sabine and Johanna) and...

Immanuel Lodge – three night stay and one night stay. Very comfortable chalets with springbok grazing a couple of metres from the stoep. Laptop size safe in chalet and good security. Stephan and Sabine were excellent hosts and dinners were always good with game steaks. The public room area overlooks the waterhole with springbok and guinea fowl in attendance. Good...

My wife, son and I spent a night here before we flew to Cape Town. The service and food were very good and although the common area was very nice, the rooms were shabby and in need of renovation. Also note that they have a very big, free roaming dog that isn't particularily friendly.

A very special place. The attention to detail impressed me. We had a supper in the bush with an atmosphere that complimented our wedding anniversary. To have the same choice of food, service and atmosphere in a top class restaurant you will pay far more than at Immanuel. Food were excellent. Security were also good and gave us peace of...

very welcoming - cosy atmosphere and comfortable rooms. Highlight was the superb evening meals provided by Stefan, especially the attention given to our vegan request. We loved the ostriches and the terrace overlooking the water hole.

This lodge is all about indulging yourself. Especially the food is yummy and the service is great. Do take a massage to feel totally relaxed! It is nearby Windhoek and the airport. Windhoek is not special to stay, you better stay here

Really great place to stay, rural, calm and quiet but still all the comforts. The service is fantastic and the food is excellent, combining local and German cuisine. The only downside is that the only dinner option is a set four course meal and is quite expensive. Location is bit of a distance out of Windhoek so this place better...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Immanuel Lodge. An oasis of tranquility in the Namibian savannah. We're located just minutes from the city of Windhoek, but you wouldn't guess it. Out here in the bush, it feels like you're a thousand miles from anywhere. Breathe in the clean, crisp air. Gaze out across the grassy plains that stretch to the horizon beneath an endless blue sky. This is the real Namibia - the landscapes, the animals, the people. The Immanuel Wilderness Lodge lets you experience it all up close, without sacrificing comfort. We're a family-run business that offers quality amenities, a "gemütlich" atmosphere and award winning German-African cuisine. So join us. Come to relax, to unwind, to discover. Immerse yourself in the mystery and majesty of the Namibian wilderness. Our rooms offer cosy comfort and a rustic, authentic Namibian atmosphere. The thatched roofs and ceiling fans keep the temperature pleasant year round, whether you're visiting in the hot months of summer or the middle of winter. All rooms have their own ensuite bathroom with 24-hour hot water. While the sublime surroundings may tempt you to sit back with a good book and relax all day, there's so much more to explore in the local area. We offer guided tours to nearby farms, where you'll see the mythical wildlife for which Africa is famous, such as lions, leopards and cheetahs. The Kavango carver's market is a great place to experience local artisan culture and pick up some souvenirs. And just 20km to the south lies Windhoek, the nation's capital, with its colourful streets and distinctive German atmosphere. Immanuel Wilderness Lodge is perfectly situated in a central location. You can reach any of these sites in just a few minutes' drive. ... more   less
