Avoid this hotel at all cost. Makes the CEO of Protea's talks on device excellence a joke. Some of the issues: 1. Unskilled receptionist on arrival who had difficulty communicating the most basic of issues 2. Noisy room in which the window onto the road cannot shut 3. Old sagging mattress on a single bed. 4. Bathroom miniscule making any...

Had a workshop here for a week and it went well. The staff are very helpful with setting up the venue. The tea breaks are well stocked with delicious sandwiches. The lunches are quite tasty served buffet style. The buildings looks a bit dated but the furnishings are reasonably modern. Decent affordable choice for your workshops and conferences.

While an 'okay' place to stay, I am not overly impressed. I would have thought that this tired looking hotel should have been closed for renovations when Marriot took over. Even by Protea standards, it is pretty threadbare. Stains on the carpet, no TV remote, safe locked (when I phoned reception, I was told to hold-on and the phone was...

The hotel has seen better times, it's in dire need of refurbishment, not sure if the lift ever worked in the current century. We had connecting rooms with a working fridge & asthmatic AC on the first floor. Everything was reasonably clean. Location is good, easy walking distance from the town centre. Staff is friendly & helpful. All in all...

ONLY CONSIDER IF PREPARED TO SLUM IT!!! Checkin: took over 15 min and assistance from 4 people. Room: A "family suite" is recommended only for two bachelors sharing. Too small for more than two sharing. Bathroom: Not clean at all... faucet could not be set to shower then bath without a pair of pliers.

Arrived at the place around 10pm. Sent to car park at back of hotel. Gates opened but driveway too steep so the sills of the car got damaged (Scratched/dented) peugeot 207cc. We'll deal with it tomorrow they said. Go and park over the road from the front door.. Go to the room no bedside lights working - one didn't have...

Great place to stay if you are on a budget and want more privacy than a hostel. The hotel is quite old, I think the elevator speaks for itself, but the staff have been quite pleasant. Check in was hassle free, wifi wasn't bad if only one person was using it. The moment my boyfriend connected it began to move...

Hard to say anything good. This is not the Protea hotel you're used to. The local business we were visiting suggested alternative hotels as soon as they heard where we were staying. Internet is flaky, service at meals was patchy and rooms are pretty basic. The hotel is noisy, particularly if you have a street facing room. The rooms were...

The check-in was really nice and friendly which was very encouraging, but from there on it all went downhill. The Room was ok but the bathroom (Shower only )was so small you could easily touch all 4 wall with arms extended. TV had only 9 channels which is a very limited bouquet. I asked for a wake up call as...
