Stayed her after our flight to Namibia. A tranquil spot, lovely rooms & gardens. Food excellent both at dinner and particularly breakfast. The staff were friendly and attentive, as we had an early breakfast, we were asked to sit inside so as not to wake other guests, a really lovely touch!

The Palmquell is an Austrain/German owned hotel with the ambience of a small German hotel. The rooms are large, impecably clean and decorated with local art. The bathroom was adapted for use by elderly folk and the shower was the best we had in Namibia. Breakfast was excellent with hot and cold options - crusty rolls, salami, fruit, cheese, yogurts...

In the words of Nelson Mandela - never, never, and never again! While I'm a person who likes comfort, the most important thing for me is cleanliness. The bedding and towels were not white; how on earth does someone use beige sheets and orange towels in a "hotel" environment? The duvet cover was the sort you'd buy at a discount...

Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Despite arriving early after a long flight a room was quickly arranged for us with no fuss. The owner was a great help in tracking down our lost luggage and we doubt if we would have seen it for days without her help. Breakfast is generous and tasty and despite other comments we found the...

The rooms were clean and had sliding doors out to the garden and pool which was lovely. The hotel is located in a residential suburb of Windhoek, not walkable to the city centre. Breakfast was quite nice in spite of the German lady who barks out orders to the patrons. She has her way of running the place and you...

If you would like to be treated like a naughty child by over aggressive german woman, then this is the place for you. Not recommended! Very inflexible, uncompromising, old bedding and rude management. Nice breakfasts though. .. when youre not getting shouted at for something as simple as moving a table a little.

A group of us stayed here at the start and end of a 14 day safari. It's a professionally run place with decent sized rooms. Dinner is good tho it can take a while to be delivered. Breakfast is excellent. The owner is on hand and takes a personal interest in the guests.

We had just an overnight stay at the Palmquell, in a nice residential suburb of WIndhoek. Whole place reminded me of Germany, although we were told it was Austrian-owned. We had a spacious room with three beds in the scattered one-story buildings scattered through pleasing gardens and pool are. Breakfast was full on European breakfast. Free WiFi was nice after...

One of only two venues I use in Windhoek. A very german affair. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The facilities are pretty good with a nice pool and garden. Breakfasts are very good!! Staff is quite friendly and helpful. When I resided last time there was no wi-fi, which is a huge letdown for any business traveller and the...

We spent two nights at the Palmquell at a family-run hotel, which the family is looking to sell. We had a large, comfortable room at the bottom of the property. Our verandah looked out over the garden, full of palms and birds. It was a good spot even though a bit away from the pool and reception. The restaurant was...
