I almost didn't pubish this. I love this place so much, I would hate for it to be over run. All rooms have individual character. The staff is lovely and helfpul. Sitting and eattig on the roof is such a relaxing activity. And it's just a gorgeous spot. My favorite on the continent. I'm hoping to be competing with the...

I loved out stay here. The hotel has been decorated in a supposedly traditional ochre red colour. The rooms have nice features and we had a very comfortable bed (no twin rooms were available so we just shared a double). The rooftop restaurant had a lovely view and decent food with a fantastic bar. As a first impression of Senegal...

Helpful staff at this hotel. Warm atmosphere. Not fancy mind you, likely a 3-star outfit but the prices are appropriate, making it an excellent value hotel. Breakfast is included, buffet-style and is served in the rooftop resto. That same rooftop resto offers nice view of sunsets over cocktails, and of course dinner. Rooms differ. You may want to check for...

We stayed for two nights at the beginning of our trip. Rooms are simply furnished and quite small as is the bathroom. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is continental, although I think eggs are available if you want. Be aware, there are no lifts and breakfast/dinner is in the roof terrace restaurant. There is either a wide spiral...

This is a great local hotel in Dakar. I stayed there for a week while I was at a conference. The roof-top cafe/bar has an excellent view of the coast and it is a relaxing place to spend some time in the morning or after a day in the city.

I stayed at the Djoloff for two weeks in January on a business trip. I can really say it was a perfect stay. Cosy and characterful hotel, excellent room and facilities as well as delicious and extremely varied food (such I had very limited incentives to explore options in the neighbourhood). The menu changes on a daily basis depending on...

After a 1am arrival and a 90 min drive to take us the 13km to the hotel from the airport (worth noting on a major party night/national holiday such as NYE, since it's one main road along the coast, 1000s of taxis and multiple clubs and bars en route) we arrived in a suburban street to small unassuming building which...

We arrived at Hotel Le Djoloff directly from the airport. This was our first trip to Senegal and we quickly got a taste of Senegalese hospitality (excluding the crush at the airport of course). Staff were quick to assist us with carrying our many bags upstairs and getting us settled into our two rooms. The hotel has a number of...

The hotel building, rooms, and roof terrace restaurant are all lovely and this is an oasis of calm in Dakar. Just a few things to bear in mind though. Our hotel organised our transfer from the airport and told us, by email, that the cost would be 15 euros, then tried to charge us 20 euros on arrival "because it...
