Place is good! Best thing about it is staff, veeeery friendly and helpful. Dorms are big and spacey and price for dorm is good (usd7), unlike rooms that are expensive (usd30) comparing to competition. food is amazing. location is ok, a bit of hassle passing through bus terminals on the way to center. another downside is that they are out...

good place to stay located close to everything, the rooms were clean, and as opposed to the rest of the comments here, we actually did have hot water, the only problem was that the water pressure was too low.. the staff were very friendly, we even made friends with innocent, such a precious person, and are still in touch! for...

the three or four course meal was to die for. as an american who stayed in uganda for three months last summer in a small village with no electricity two hours away from kampala, staying here felt like heaven. the beds were comfy and clean, the food was absolutely delicious, i felt secure here, the location is minutes from the...

We stayed one night in this nice hotel, just right after the arrival in Uganda. The hotel gives you a perfect introduction to Uganda: nice staff, good food, slipper in the bathroom, no hot water, mosquito nets, ... The situation is perfect for bus travelers as the hotel is situated about 200 m to the Horizon Bus station and +-...

We stayed at Tuhende for 2 nights and it was a very good choice. The room was good, no hot water though - but that was no problem at all. The breakfast was excellent, and the owner, Wahid, and the staff were really nice and very helpful - we managed to buy a 2nd hand mobile phone at the old...

I was on a trip with ten student when I got recommended this place by my ugandan contact. I was just trilled by the hospitality and welcomeness by the staff. It is a perfect place to stay when you are just passing by Kampala for a few days, going further with buses. Short distance to downtown and matatu-centres. The owner...

I stayed here for one week in a group while doing a consultancy in Uganda. Staying here with friends was a really good experience and surely added to my comfort level. This lodge is located on a moderately busy road. It is a 15 minute walk to the town centre and a 20 minute walk to Makerere University. Alternatively it...

“The dorms are wonderful, the beds are spacious and mosquito nets acquired. Most of the time they don't have so many guests, so you don't even have to share your dorm. Think about it as your private space and don't worry about drunken back packers waking you up at night!”

“Ask for room with balcony or if you like more privacy then at the back where you can relax aby the plant sun bathing!”

“The rooms in the dorms next to the balcony are very loud, it's quieter in the rooms off the courtyard.”
