We were a big group comprising family and friends. We wanted to have an experience of the mountains. This place was just what we needed and what it offered to us was beyond we what expected - great ambience, extremely warm and welcoming hosts, amazing views, beautiful and colourful rooms and above all most delicious varieties of foods - just...

This is a beautiful place in the hills above Kathmandu. The views are stunning, the air is clean, the food is delicious. The place is so relaxing and peaceful. I came for lunch and a relaxing afternoon and I could have stayed a week. The owners and staff are wonderful people. The only thing that could make it better is...

Very fast replies to email requests, booked everything with a couple of emails, which also contained plenty of info. We knew, there is no road till the top of the hill, which is accessible by a regular car, so, they usually stop at Isckon (Hare Krishna) temple (you can ask taxi driver to go till the end of the road,...

I stayed here a couple of months ago. Delightful staff, cosy and welcoming, magnificent views, peaceful....and on and on. And ....it is close enough to Kathmandu for an overnight escape from the chaos. Great bush walks to a nearby monastery. The owners are a mine if information about all the local highlights. I highly recommend at least one night here.

Located on the slopes between the temple of sleeping God Budanilkantha and the mystique lush green hills, Shivapuri Heights Cottage is absolutely like a beautiful heavenly abode of great hospitality with excellent setup amid tranquil surroundings. Neeru has spared nothing to make this a magnificent resort. The view of the valley from the balcony is exceptional – really a place...

The people at Shivapuri Heights could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The view over and across the Kathmandu Valley at dawn was gorgeous, and the food was delicious, especially the classic chicken lasagna we had for dinner. That said, we did face a couple of unfortunate difficulties. The steep walk to the entrance in the rain was quite...

The cottage gives the feel of peace and beauty that you can only experience while you are in the property. Twinkling lights of the valley at night and the stars in the sky, it's heavenly!! morning tea with a magnificent view of the greenery and the valley is again breath taking. Relaxing at Neeru's spa is adding value to your...

I could not stop oohing and ahhing over Shivapuri Heights Cottage. It's a small hike up the hills and steps, but once you reach the top, the homey and well-thought out ambiance of the cottage welcomes you with non-stop delights. The grounds are well-kept and host an abundance of flowers and plants creating gorgeous garden and outdoor spaces everywhere you...

We took our 4-month old on her first hike to Shivapuri and Shivapuri Heights Cottages offered us a day trip that was perfect for our family. With a visit to a Buddhist monastery, a short 30 minute hike through villages on the hill, delicious lunch, great company, and beautiful views of the valley. It was the perfect quick "escape" from...

Ideal escape from the noise & haste of Thamel, Shivapuri provides the perfect fusion of hotel and homeliness. We loved it! Good food, friendly hosts and impeccable attention from the staff make this a special place to relax, but there's heaps of good walking too. From the hotel you can visit a local monastery and continue up into the national...
