We stayed in the Holy Lodge as walk-in guests for one week. It's a great central location right within all the shops in Thamel. We had a nice big clean room with a big clean bathroom and proper toilet (not squat). Best feature was the really hot water shower, too hot to stand under without adding cold water. The three...

Not sure how this place was so high on the list. I booked a room over the internet and got put in some grubby twin room with a share bathroom that had no light working. Had to tell them 3 times to put in a lightbulb, still no lightbulb in the toilet. Far from what the pictures looked like. Spend...

This is fantastic place to stay, the staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to make things easy. There are a selection of rooms for all budgets. It's in the heart of Thamel which, is great for exploring. Madhukar and the team made our stay so easy, starting with a pickup at the airport, organising flights to...

Stayed here before / after trip to Chitwan national park as central thamel location. Very cheap accomodation. Rooms were quite dirty, sheets and towels had stains (one towel had blood stain on it), no toilet paper, very noisy on a weekend night with thumping music surrounding the whole lodge. The communal breakfast and reception area smelt like urine. Breakfast very...

The perfect place to start our trip in Nepal was the Holy Lodge, via email they had organised transport from the airport for us, which was great since it was my first time in the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. The following morning during our delicious breakfast, we were fortunate enough to meet Madhukar. He went out of his way...

Having booked a family room at this hotel 5 days in advance, we arrived to find there was someone still in the room who obviously had not been informed that the room had been booked. The staff put us in another room because our child was desperately ill and vomiting, but checkout time came and went with us tending to...

Being in the heart of Thamel, the noise level is high especially on weekends, but great restaurants and shopping are all around. Holy Lodge has caring staff who can help if something goes wrong. My husband got sick, they helped me change my flight, get medicine, and offered to get doctor to come day or night. I felt safer knowing...

In comparison to various mountaim huts I stayed in the Langtang Valley area this hotel was average. It wasn't a bad hotel and not a great hotel. It's a place to sleep, get some wi-fi and take a shower. The price is competitive. The reason for not giving a 4 star is that they wrote down my reservation for a second night...
