Khem is the perfect host and organised everything for my ten day stay. The room was comfortable and breakfast was always served with a smile. Trips were sorted and everything went like clockwork. I visited chitwan national park which was fantastic and had a mountain flight too. Loved my stay here and will definitely be back. Thank you for everything....

Elbrus Home was our first stop in Kathmandu, located down a narrow side street it provided us with the perfect base for our first experience of Kathmandu. Located slightly away from the bustling centre of Thamel. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and the owner could help us with virtually all of our travel and activity planning needs. Would...

If you want to feel at home and not spend a fortune, this is the place for you. I stayed in three different rooms over the course of a month. One had a private bath and the other two did not. The breakfast every morning was wonderful and I especially enjoyed sitting on the upper decks looking over the city...

Great place to stay, clean, affordable, quiet and the staff was extremely nice. Breakfast made fresh everyday and the multiple porches are really nice. I would absolutely stay here again if I ever return to Nepal.

The staff and Khem, the owner, were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was free and was a great start to the day. There were lots of free extras that helped keep our budget low, such as drinking water and wifi. It's conveniently located next to Thamel which has lots of restaurants and things...

First I want to thank Khem for not only stepping in when I had a problem late at night with a scary taxi driver but, once I was safely inside, paying for the taxi himself. It is indicative of his attitude to his guests. Elbrus Home is a good place to stay. Hot water, good breakfasts, shaded garden and communal...

We originally booked a couple of nights here so we could figure out what we wanted to do in Kathmandu/Nepal. I had arranged with Khem (owner) for us to be picked up from the airport, we were greeted by Ali who was really nice and helpful. When we got to the guest house Khem, Hari and the team were really...

We loved everything about Elbrus Home - the staff, the rooms, the garden and the complimentary breakfast were so good that we didn't bother trying any other hostels in Thamel. When my partner got a bad bout of food poisoning on our third day, the staff offered to drive us to the hospital and provided him with some toast and...

We stayed at Elbrus at different moments during our two months trip in nepal. Very comfortable beds and hot shower. Breakfast that is included is huge and us good fuel for exploring the city. You might end up in the annex accross the road which is equally as comfy, just ask whether there is room in the main building, we...
