Enjoyed our stay although it was one new year's eve night as our room had heater and hot showers. The hotel also provided hot water in the evening, which was a nice gesture, as well as complimentary juices, mineral water and beer (which we exchanged for more juices). Since it was located right in the heart of Thamel, the noise...

Perfectly located - family of five with three under 10 years of age we stayed for five nights at this fantastic guest house. The rooms are immaculate and the lobby is a great place to unwind from the chaos of kathmandu. Fourth time to Kathmandu and first time staying at the Ambassador. Clearly our choice going forward. Families - ask...

Stayed from Dec 24 to 26. This is a basic hotel and maybe the best option in Thamel area, but only because there are not so many properties in that area. I don’t have any complaint about the staff (they try to help you within their limits) , that’s not the case regarding the building itself. The place doesn’t have...

We stayed at the Ambassador Garden Hotel in Thamel for three nights. Very central location which was what we wanted. The staff is very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. We all enjoyed our time in Kathmandu as well as getting out to the countryside. The people of Nepal are lovely and I only wish the best for them...

Spend 2 weeks in Nepal from 20 Sep 2010 and a good 5 days here. One of the best boutique hotels I've stayed in. The staff is amazing and helped us sort out everything from taxi, to airline confirmation to advice to things to do and see around. Its in the heart of Thamel, making things easy. Worked to our...

This is a wonderful little boutique hotel right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of touristy Thamel but very quiet thanks to double glazed windows. We stayed 2 nights in a superior room which was faultless. Big bathroom with 24 hour hot water. Complimentary fruit and bottled water and the daily paper each morning. Staff were enthusiastic, happy...

Absolutely no regrets staying at AGH. Very comfortable rooms, cable tv, clean toilets with 24hrs hot shower, delicious breakfast in a pretty little garden, good service and great location. Everything you need is literally at your doorstep (main shopping street, supermarket, restaurants, travel adventure agencies, The Last Resort / Borderlands office etc).

I don't want to talk about the room already cuz they are highly valuable to the price, the only problem is a lil bit noisy which is the problem for all hotels in Thamel as well. The stuffs there are not only friendly, u can trust them even as ur family. I felt uncomfortable at the 3rd day after I...

Kathmandu was the last leg of our three-week tour in Asia (China, India, Nepal). In the previous few weeks, we had stayed at top-notch luxury hotels where we were treated like royalty and four-star hotels that were really two-star in every aspect (if that). I wasn't sure what to expect of this boutique hotel in Thamel before we arrived. Nonetheless,...
