Shangri-la Boutique has rocked our socks off. The staff have been friendly and helpful, airport transfers were cheap, breakfasts and bar delicious, and the hostel is located right in the middle it all. Thanks for accommodating myself, Brad, and Jeremy. A great place to meet people from all over the world. Will see you next time!

I could not fault Shangri-la. Everything is perfect. Every basic comfort that a traveler craves at 5star service.. Unbelievably comfortable rooms, Daily hot breakfast, Towels supplied, Unlimited rolls of toilet paper, always hand soap, always hot showers, drinking water, use of computer and printer, wifi on every level, rooftop hangs, always friendly staff (staff doesnt sound right, these guys are...

Wow where do i start. I never write reviews but i just have to sing about Keshab the owner and his family's hospitality who went out all the way to treat us like family. It all started when our luggage did not arrive at the airport, and we were delayed by and hour and a half. Running out, we were...

I stayed at Shangri-la several times during a recent trip to Nepal. I absolutely love this place. Room rates are a bit more than other hostels around the Jyatha area ($7-$9/night), but the few extra dollars are well worth it. The rooms are extremely clean, warm, and comfortable. Additionally, the beds were the most comfortable and warmest that I experienced...

Shangri La is in a great location close to the main hub but far enough away that it is peaceful. Food was great and the staff were super friendly and welcoming - would definitely stay again/recommend. *stayed here over New Years Eve, had to look elsewhere to 'party' so I wouldn't say that this is a 'party hostel/hotel' based upon...

Plenty of hotel options everywhere. Thamel is main tourist area. This property is fine, hot shower, comfy bed, and OK WI Fi but I would not pay more than about $20 or 2000 NPR for this property. Back packers inn next door worked fine for me after they raised rate to $30 prior to second stay.

Located in one of the by-lanes of busy Thamel, Shangri-la is a small, but cosy property that will not burn a whole in your pocket. Although we went with a 1-year old baby in tow, it is ideal for couples or single travelers looking to explore Kathmandu. The host Keshab Kharki and his team are absolutely amazing with guests -...

Shangri-la's location is not on the busy street so it's a little quiet in the area. The rooftop though is one chill place to eat and meet fellow travelers. Free breakfast didn't disappoint. Servings were big and you have all that you need to start your day. I stayed at the dorm and I was comfortable. Sheets were clean and...

I was made to feel incredibly welcome here, particularly as a solo traveller. Staff and management went over and above to make sure I was looked after. Ideally located in Thamel and walking distance to most central attractions and the shopping district.
