This place is georgious start for everyone who wants to enjoy city comfort before and/or after Himalayan trek. Some rooms can get a little noisy over night as the hotel is located on noisy street, however ear plugs sort that for you.

We stayed there a few nights during our time in the city. We were shown a clean room which after 7 turned to hell as we were right above a karaoke bar. As we paid an outrageos price of 2500 we had to argue with the staff to change our room to a quiet one as none of the same... More

We arrived here after a long day of traveling and whilst we thought 1500rs was overpriced for the room we were shown we decided to take it, out of exhaustion. We noticed that the room didn't have a fan or a/c, so we asked if a fan could be provided as it was far too hot without one. We were... More

I often travel to Nepal and had a chance to stay in many hotel and I must say nothing came close to Hotel Northfied in terms of accessibility to the city centers and most historical sites, reliable services ( internet service/ hot water) cleanliness, and friendly staffs who go above and beyond do so simply because they want to.

I frequently travel to Nepal and have stayed in several different hotels over the period of time. But, I must say nothing came close to Hotel Northfied in terms of accessibility, housekeeping, reliable services and amenities (such as 24/7 hot water), cleanliness, and of course super-duper friendly staffs -- all of which made my stay a memorable one. Only downside,... More

Although others may complain about the sounds of the street, this should not come as a surprise. The surrounding cityscape is full of life and vibrancy. The staff is extremely friendly and kind. I had a very pleasant stay and would definitly reccomend this safe, affordable, comfortable and interesting hotel.
