i stayed just for one nite and pleasantly surprised to be invited for dinner with family which is a very nice gesture. The next day i wanted a car for 3 hours and this was arranged promptly so overall i enjoyed my stay even just for a nite. Thank You.

I stayed almost three weeks at the Blue Mountain Homestay in Kathmandu: I loved it! The family really made me feel at home. The location is perfect: a really nice, local and quite neighbourhood, but only five minutes walk away from busy Thamel. The rooms are clean and very big, enough blankets and even a heater to keep you warm,...

We stayed for three days at the Blue Mountain Homestay in order to visit Thamel within a walking distance. It only takes you about ten minutes to reach the centre of Thamel. The homestay provides free breakfast and invites guest to a homestay dinner with the whole family, which is an unique experience. Thereby, you can face the limitless friendlyness...

I am perplexed at all the great reviews because it takes a lot for me to write a bad one. We spent 2 months in Nepal and were very happy with all of our other stays. At first Blue Mountain Homestay was fine. Location is not in Thamel as they advertise but a 10 minute walk away, which was ok....

Everyone is very friendly and you feel home right away! You get as much bottles of water and tea you want, wifi works well, very affordable and it's close to Thamel, but in a bit more quiet place, which is the best of both worlds to me. The owner invited me to a typical nepali dinner with his family, they're...

I stayed here for 6 days as my Internship organizer introduced me. Especially the staffs, Bhim, Rana and Sameer welcomed me warmly and they helped me so much with anything I needed- they cooked me delicious breakfast and dinner everyday, made coffee/tea anytime, they even walked me to a local barber (called beauty salon) when I asked them where I...

Blue Mountain is my home stay when I lived in Nepal. Undoubtedly, for the whole environment, Blue Mountain is a good place to live in. Although the hot water there is always used up, it at least has solar water heater. Besides, it also has wifi and basic electricity. Overall, it’s quite clean from the perspective of whole Nepal circumstance....

Spent my first two nights in Nepal here and was the beginning of a really good week in the country. The owner, Mr. Buddhi, runs a great homestay with the assistance of his friendly and helpful staff. Especially Mr. Emil who helped me call the airlines several times throughout the day so I could finally get my check in luggage......

My favourite place to stay in Thamel by far. I stayed here 4 or 5 times. The family greets you with such a warm welcome every time you show up and are always happy to see you. The beds are so comfortable and the facilities are up to standard. Definitely recommend if you prefer a bit more peace and quiet...
