Not far from Kathmandu and situated on the side of a hill with spectacular views of Kathmandu and you can see the peaks of the mountains in the distance. The dining room is on the third floor and is open to the fresh air and scenery. The menus provided western meals but we were happy with the Nepali dishes, which...

A nice hotel with a spectacular view on Kathmandu Valley and the mountains. Rooms are clean. Staff is very friendly and very efficient. Food very good. But the most impressive is the dinner, with a night view on the Valley.

This hotel is situated southeast of Kathmandu on a hill overlooking the valley. Whether you want to go to Kathmandu or stick around in historic Kirtipur, you're well-situated to do so. The hotel is also near Tribhuvan University, the oldest University in Nepal. The room prices are reasonable, the rooms are clean and well-appointed, and the food is very, very...

The rooms are great, very clean and comfortable. Some have views and balconies looking over the city of Kathmandu. This view is even more breathtaking from the restaurant, which also offers incredible food with great choice. The staff are ridiculously helpful and friendly even taking time to show us around Kirtipur.

A lovely hotel with beautiful views over Kathmandu and the mountains beyond. The food was really good and of a wide variety. The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean and had hot water and good wifi. The surrounding area was also very nice and we were treated to a tour of the...

Brilliant family-run hotel, out of the mayhem of Kathmandu. Staff couldn't do enough or be more helpful! Took us on an impromptu local tour of the temples one afternoon just being friendly. Lovely restaurant (lots of choice, great chef, both traditional and international food) on a terrace with amazing views over Kathmandu to the mountains. Comfy beds, hot water, good...

The Kirtipur Hillside is a great, friendly hotel in Kirtipur. On a good day it has second-to-none views (you'd have to go to Nagarkot to rival the scenery), an outdoor terrace restaurant with good momos and GREAT dal-bhat, nice breakfast, very friendly staff, and a quiet location that's close to the bustle and traffic of Naya Bazaar in lower Kirtipur,...

As we have passed our lunch hour, and the designated restaurant was closed, the driver took a few back lanes and turns, we were skeptical when the driver parked behind a school near a slope. The driver led us to a posh resort. We assumed we will be 'slaughtered'. We walked up to the fourth floor and started ordering. As simple...

Hot water, beautiful view of Kathmandu Valley, clean and comfortable room, family operated...what more can I say? Traveling on my own, I felt very welcome and secure staying here. Family and staff are very warm and hospital and the food was great! I really enjoyed my stay at The Kirtipur Hillside Hotel.

The Kirtipur Hillside Hotel was a wonderful place to stay for so many reasons. This is a family operated accommodation with love and compassion that was evident by staff. The service was wonderful with pleasant personalities all throughout. The location above the Kathmandu Valley provided wonderful views along with a peaceful environment.
