I have just come back to Nepal and the beautiful Hotel Utse. I travel here every year. All earthquake damage is not anywhere near as bad as the western media portrayed it to be. Hotel Utse has no damage whatsoever. It still has the same happy and bright people working here, and they are modernising things all the time. Come...

We stayed in April 2015 prior to the earthquake. We stayed in 3 different rooms over a period of two weeks. Every room was clean - I mean Q-tip inspection in the corners clean. The staff seems to be polishing and mopping all the time. On top of that, they have wi-fi; All reception staff speaks English, and are very...

This is a family run hotel in the heart of Khatmandu. We love this place - it feels like home. We used this as a base when I was a child travelling with my parents years ago and again last year in November - it hasn't changed one bit. But why would you want it to? The Tibetan food is...

I stayed here about 10 years ago, so this review may be out of date. I stayed here for a few nights - it felt very safe (despite the civil war at the time), and the food was excellent (they did an interesting spring roll).

I've stayed at Hotel Utse 4 or 5 times in the last 3 years. They always have acceptional service, rooms are clean and comfortable, they now have hot water basically all the time! and their internet service is very good for KTM. The restaurant has excellent food as well. I find it to be a relaxing respite from the bustle...

A lovely little place in the middle of Thamel. I was worried it might be noisy and/or unsafe, but found it truly lovely. A very simple place but exactly what I was expected for what you pay. Clean as well. Staff were so lovely. Very very helpful. The owners are about all the time as well, saying hello and friendly...

The staff are extremely accommodating and friendly towards visitors. We requested a certain room and this was absolutely no problem for them. We were always welcomed with a smile and conversation. Nothing was ever too much for the staff at this hotel, questions and advice were given with the best advice. I was a 19 year old girl when I...

We stayed at Hotel Utse on 3 occasions during our time in Nepal – it was so great we didn’t worry about trying another hotel. We were picked up at the airport by the hotel and it was about a 20 minute drive to Utse. The location is ideal, as it is located only a couple of minutes walk from...
