A nice, old hotel with very polite staff, large rooms, choice of breakfast included. Located on the edge of Thamel, the tourist area with hundreds of shops and restaurants in narrow streets With life as usual after the earthquakes.

It is a wonderful place with friendly and courteous staff. The service was good, the place was clean, wifi signal was strong even in our room, food was great. It has not been affected by the earthquake and the building has been certified to be safe for occupation after the earthquake.

My group of three stayed here for a week and we very pleased with the location, service, and price. There was earthquake damage in the area, but not at the Manang Hotel. I'd recommend the Manang to anyone and will stay here next time I'm in Kathmandu.

You would not have known there was an earthquake aside from the very few hotels that were open and the electricity that was yet to be reinstated across many parts of the... More
