My family stayed here for 3 nights. And loved It so much we returned for another. It's an amazing hotel. Very clean, beautifully renovated and in a great location near the Thamel. It's pricier than other options, but Is worth every penny. Kathmandu is so hectic and polluted and stepping through the gates of this place into the serene picturesque...

The Kantipur Temple House is tucked away down a side street and only a short walk to central Thamal's restaurants and shopping. The hotel has a lawn and garden area where yoga classes are held every morning and you can relax and enjoy a drink in the afternoon. It was a perfect place for our two year old to safely...

Fantastic location, lovely architecture and ambiance, great service, especially from Sumanthapa at the front desk... but it's not perfect for business travel. There's no printer, no photocopier, and the power cuts out on a planned interval twice a day for about three hours each time. These are all products of the hotel's eco-friendly approach, which I applaud, but if you're...

Atmospheric hotel very close to Thamel but tucked away down a side street so it was very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were a good size and furnished nicely - although a bit dark due to the original design of the building. This was the first stop on a 6 month backpacking trip so it was a bit of a...

Aadi, my 11 year old son and I stayed at the Kantipur Temple house in Kathmandu on our camping and building homes visit to Nepal in August 2013. The experience of selecting the hotel, booking the room, receiving communication from Digambar, the hotel's living mascot :) and arriving there from the airport on a luxury ride organized by Digambar was...

Rooms are very nice and tastefully decorated. No air conditioning but you actually don't need since the construction is with bricks and the weather during the night is nice to sleep. Fans available in each room. The architecture of the place is fabulous. Traditional construction, beautiful wood work, marble stairs, just amazing. Staff is very friendly, almost everyone speaks good...
