After trekking 3 high passes in everest region for more than a month. It's a great hotel to recover. Breakfast included. You get this 80$ hotel in off season for around 30$. Big rooms, great food, close to all shops. Very nice big quiet yard to relax in late afternoon. The local school can be noisy in morning beside hotel....

Stayed here for 4 nights. Rooms are OK and there plenty of hot water, which can be an issue in Nepal. The location is good on the edge of Thamel - more quiet than many other places in Thamel and the garden is a nice place to relax. I would have rated it higher, except I totally overpaid for what...

This is a very centrally located hotel in Kathmandu that is in a safe place, but close to all of the shops and sites. We walked to Dunbar Square form here. We were staying with an expedition team and were welcomed warmly and graciously. The rooms are very standard but comfortable. I recommend rooms on the higher floors for the...

Stayed for 2 nights, location is great near the heart of Thamel. Rooms are OK, standard is pretty low but ok for a nights sleep. The restaurant and garden are very nice, a perfect place to relax after a visit to Thamel.

Decent hotel for Nepal. Clean comfortable rooms. Good restaurant. Great location, in Thamel district. Watch for power outages. The front desk has times when the "brown-outs" occur. It is different every week. Don't get caught unaware, like we were!

We stayed at Nirvana Gardens after 20 days trekking to Gokyo and Everest Base Camp, and an additional 4 days being stuck at Lukla airport due to bad weather. Nirvana Gardens was an oasis to come across upon arrival back at Thamel- the hotel is tucked away in a back street away from the main hustle and bustle of Thamel....

The rooms are basic but clean and had everything we needed. Lovely courtyard and helpful staff. Situated in the heart of Thamel and with some little shops right outside (money exchange place especially useful). Free wifi. We went to Tibet and they allowed us to leave stuff there until we got back. It really came to feel like home. There...

The hotel is old and very outdated and needs serious renovation. But in Kathmandu you should not expect a lot. It was relatively clean and food was ok. We often experienced power outages which is common in Nepal. The garden was a nice place to relax and meet other hikers/mountaineers. If I ever revisit Kathmandu, I would probably pay more...

I've been taking my school students here for 7 years. Whilst some would consider it a 3 star place as electricity doesn't always work, wi fi is intermittent, it's a bit dated bathrooms etc, one needs to remember you are in Nepal with restricted electricity hours, and the country has experienced an earthquake, so this is very normal! It is...

The location of this hotel is good, just a short walk to the centre of busy Thamel. The staff were very kind and friendly but I was a bit disappointed with the room, especially the bathroom. The bath itself had been painted and this paint was peeling away which made it rather uninviting. That coupled with the fact that it...
