Had a huge and very beautiful room with dark shiny hardwood floors, nice wooden furniture, dark blue ceilings but allover airy and bright. There is a nice garden used by the restaurant, all is super clean. Excellent restaurant. Responsible and lovely staff. It is about 20 walk from the big Boudha stupa, in a rather quiet delightful neighborhood. Can be...

The staff was very accomodating - They gave me a room overlooking the garden. They were all professional and friendly. They were also attentive to my needs. I ordered from the restaurant a few times. The paneer in a sauce was delicious.

I have stayed at the Shambaling several times while in transit to Bhutan. It is very conveniently near to the airport (only 10 mins in a taxi, if no traffic) and offers an oasis of calm in an otherwise chaotic city. The staff and friendly, the restaurant excellent and the rooms comfortable and very clean, and good shower etc. What...

I enjoyed very much my stay at the Shambaling Hotel in Kathmandu. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, big and well equipped. The hotel is situated very close to the great Boudhanath stoupa, but is nevertheless very quiet. The only, small, "problem" I had was the lock of the room door which I sometimes...
