This was my best stay in Kathmandu Valley, in the midst of lush greenery, great mountain view and fresh air. Luca and Camille were great hosts and we truly enjoyed their hospitality. The food prepared by the Chandra Ban team were delicious and we enjoyed our meals there everyday during the stay.

the place was marvellous, living in the mountainous area and drinking the spring water makes you feel so refreshed. You can even hear the Mother Nature waking you up every morning. Beautiful sunset and sunrise scene. The owners were very friendly and kind, they will make sure we reach our place safely. During some cold days, they even lit up...

Away from the chaos but close enough for visiting temples and sightseeing in Katmandu Owners are great for conversation and learning about Buddhism and Nepal culture. Great architecture and well built in case you're worried about earthquakes.

Ideal for a rest, a family holiday, or a work retreat. Beautifully appointed, well kept house and grounds. Friendly and accommodating staff and management. Delectable, home-made, vegetarian meals. Good wine list. Adjacent to Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. 30 minutes from Kathmandu. Strongly recommend to anyone.

Every morning we munched on our breakfasts made with love, at a time that suited us and enjoyed a a private array of...

We have just returned from a month in Nepal. We trekked in remote Humla area , spent a week above Pokhara , some time in Kathmandu and Patan BUT for our final few days we escaped to Chandraban which was perfect . Hosts: Jampa and Camilla are long term residents of Nepal and are a mine of local information and...

Kathmandu is full of hotels and guest houses, most within the smog of the ring road. A short taxi ride to the north of the city takes you towards the wooded slopes of Shivapuri and here you will find Chandra Ban. A large stone house of exceptional build quality surrounded by its own flower gardens and woods it looks down...

Nestled against the hillside on the north end of the valley, Chandra Ban is perfectly placed as a haven from the dust and bustle of Kathmandu. The emphasis on quiet makes it an excellent place for meditation or to get work done. The food was wonderful: a mix of Italian and local cuisine, and fresh yogurt, fruit, muesli, bread and...

This hidden gem is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been. The grounds are immaculate, the accommodations are fabulous and the service is impeccable. This made my Nepal experience so heartwarming. It is tucked away to the point you feel like you are in another world. Granted, I only got to experience a tiny blip...
