We stayed at Machan Paradise for 3 days and LOVED IT! In a highly rural and less touristy part of Chitwan we felt like we got a real feel for the community we were staying in. Action packed from start to finish, with a combination of walking / jeep / boat / elephant safaris. We had an individual guide assigned... More

We were a family of 4 staying at Machan. We were the only people there as we stayed during monsoon season which is less busy. We were treated to a two hour elephant ride on the afternoon we arrived. here was two of us to each elephant and we had the extra bonus of having 1 year old baby elephant... More

Stayed here with a Naturetrek group for several days. Hotel was fine - nice room, good food and service. What really makes it worth the long and dangerous drive from Kathmandu is the Chitwan National Park. Hotel is right on the doorstep of this natural gem. We spent time in the park on foot , in jeep, elephant back, and... More

The welcome drink & warm scented towels refresh you, the sumptuous continental lunch rejuvenates you and finally a short nap in the room readies you for the nature walk or the elephant ride into the forest. On return get freshened up quickly & join the fun... More

From the moment we arrived here we were made to feel incredibly welcome. All the staff (who are naturalists, guides, waiters and "chambermaids" rolled into one) were so friendly and eager to please. Their main aim is to make sure that each guest gets the most out of the special experience. We arrived at lunchtime (after a bit of a... More

Nice place for the area. Electricity and wifi are definitely wonky at best. Food is ok, but they aren't really conversant with gluten free needs. Keep flashlight and/or candles handy or you may find yourself in the bathroom in the dark. Not easy to get to. Happy hours 15% off drinks is only if you pay cash-not something they tell... More
