I was really happy with my stay in the Lub D hostel. Everything is really nice. free, clean towels, really good wifi. Safe lockers, nice beds. Everything was good! And its possible to leave your backpack there for a month, wich is really useful when you travel a lot and you have a really big backpack. I dropped mine off... More

I've spent 2 months in hostels in Asia on this trip, and this place was the worst by far. I understand it's not the staff's fault, but just be aware of the kind of people this hostel can attract. I've stayed at party hostels before, so understand a good night of fun. Here is was 4 boorish guys returning to... More

This was my girlfriend and I's first time in Thailand and also our first time ever in Bangkok. The staff instantly greeted us as we walked in and made the check in process very smooth; which was nice after a long flight and navigating through the city on a train. There is an awesome tour guide specialist named Darrian who... More

I stayed at Lub D Silom for one night after a tour I was on had ended and the flight to my next destination was the following day. I was cheerfully greeted when I approached the reception desk and was given a key card with wifi details, my bed reservation tag and I was directed to where my room, the... More

Absolutly amazing hostel, very modern, good service and welcoming, seperate toilets and showers, very clean and hi tech look. Offers happy hour between 6-8pm, about 20-30 minutes drive from major areas in the city.

Spent four days at the Lub d in Bangkok in one of the hotel's private rooms. Very comfortable and moderately priced. Really cool environment with amenities more like a hotel than hostel. Staff is multilingual and very helpful. Good location on Thon Buri district.

Stayed here for 2 nights and will start by saying overall, it was alright. I certainly wouldn't say it was a fantastic stay, because it wasn't, for the following reasons: When i checked in, i was hoping to book a few tours and other activities in Bangkok, to find that the hostel doesn't have any options whatsoever for this. What... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
