Small but clean rooms, allowed early check in when we arrived at a stupid hour in the morning. Roof top pool offers decent views across this massive city. Safe in room, right on Koah san road. Perhaps a bit over priced, but it is a...More

The place is clean and the staff is friendly .

This was my second stay at this hotel Rikka Inn on Khaosan Road, Bangkok.
Last time was in June 2014 and this time in Mar 2015.
Have loved every bit of the location - bang in the middle of the action on Khaosan road.
I felt very safe in Rikka inn as a young female traveller, I spent 2 nights here to start my travel adventures across SE Asia. Simple, easy to find bang in Khao San road, be warned after a certain time taxis and cars aren't allowed...More
Awesome location, right on Khaosan road in the heart of the action. Adequate accommodation, sheets are clean and staff is friendly. Bathrooms are a little odd as you shower in the middle of the bathroom, no separation for a stall! Basically you get what you...More

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around
Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

When this happens to us we usually book that night at the hotel that you fly in even though you won't be there til say 230 in the morning, it'll be fine to check in when you get there, someone will be in the night shift. It's nice to go and have a bit of a sleep when you get in that late. Traffic won't be too bad that time of night so I'd say if you fly in by 1230 you would be at the hotel by 230am,possibly 2am if the airport is not too busy. Go downstairs at the airport and get a taxi, you take a ticket from a machine and go to that number marked in the taxi parking area and ask for Khao San Rd and Rikka Inn, tell them it's the burger king end if they don't know the hotel, you'll see the sign up high on the building.
