Wonderful river view room with balcony, cleaned daily, lovely roof top pool, real sun trap, sanctuary in busy city, ideal location for river trips, really cheap to visit all tourist sights and close to all nightlife and markets in Khosan road and surrounding streets. Had meal in restaurant overlooking river, excellent meal, more expensive for food and drinks than many...

Friendly safe during all of our stay. Clean and good size room. Lovely breakfast buffet you can enjoy alongside the river. Shame about the dirty water. Apart from the noise from the local bars as we faced the road we enjoyed our visit.

We´ve stayed 3 nights in Bangkok and I would definitely recommend this hotel for tourists going for the 1st time to Bangkok. Breakfast tables are available outdoors and we can eat while enjoying the river views and the city bustling. From this outside area there is a “shortcut” directly to the pier where you can take the boat to the...

The location, outdoor restaurant, and rooftop pool are what make this hotel worth a visit. The immediate surrounding area of the hotel isn't spectacular by any means, but you are close to many tourist attractions. It was hot here even in December so being able to eat the breakfast buffet outdoors with the breeze from the river was really nice....

This sis a good 3-star hotel in a great location. The rooms are clean and reasonably spacious, given that you are in Bangkok. The bed was large and comfortable. The wifi was reliable and reasonably fast. The air conditioning is effective. Our room had a balcony, too. The rooftop pool is small but good. Great for dipping in after a...

We stayed at Navalai for 5 nights. Booked the river serenade room. Very spacious and well appointed room. Wonderful bathroom with a great shower with good pressure. The location of the Navalai is perfect for us and what we need in Bangkok. Water taxi right at your back step. Khao San is walking distance and my favourite little street, Soi...

Best of all was the proximity .... 1. Excellent location right beside Phra Athit pier - just jump on a ferry, and pay next to nothing to get down to Wat Arun or the Royal Palace. 2. Cross the main road outside the hotel, and you are in Ram Buttri - terrific at night for cheap eats, including Madame Musur....

Came her with family and staid for 3 nights. Yes you can hear some noise frome cross the road but you are in a city inhabited by 12 million people. There will be noise. The pool on the roof is not heated but that is ok. Rooms are fine but i did find some dust here and there. I loved...

Hotel is in very handy location, close to ferries and Banglamphu. Buffet breakfast good, but not spectacular. Staff largely indifferent to concerns over nearby bars laying loud music until midnight. Okay for short stays, but make sure you book river-front rooms (but these are triple the price) or rooms on the right hand side of building. I stayed here when...

We stayed at the Navalai River Resort for three nights whilst stopping over in Bangkok on our way to Koh Samui. Our room was nice and the bed was very comfortable after a long day travelling. The only downside is that the hotel does not appear to be sound proof and although this was not a problem for us, the...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
