Stayed here on Christmas Day for one night. Great welcome and customer service on arrival. Clean and spacious twin room, and good bathroom - with a powerful shower. Nice pool area looking over the river and good buffet breakfast on the terrace by the river also. Location is ideal, being only a ten minute walk from cafes, restaurants and bars...

The staff is perfectly english speaking and very welcoming and helpful. the swimming pool at the top of the hotel is so nice after a morning at Chatuchak market or wondering in the city. the breakfast is clearly average but I...

We stayed 1 night in this hotel. Booked the river view room. It was situated on the first floor. The room was ok and clean. The hotelis next to khoasan road, so there were many people making partys. So there were few people coming home late and there wasnt any possibilities to sleep between 4-6am. But the stuff was doing...

Stayed here for two nights, upon arrival it was delightful to be greeted by such welcoming, friendly and helpful staff especially after a long haul flight. This is a very nice river front hotel conveniently located at the Phra Arhit pier. From here you can take river transportation to the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Wat Pho, Shopping and other sights...

We have stayed many times in Bangkok but wanted to stay in a complete different area other then Silom. Eventually we found hotel Navalai. Wow what a great hotel. It might cost a bit more, but it’s worth every penny. It is located along the Chao Praya river, the Phra Ahtit pier. It’s luxurious, but not cold, super friendly staff,...

We stayed there from Jan 06-09. We're family of 4 with 11 and 2 year old children and stayed on the 5th floor (River Breeze room w/extra bed added). Location was GREAT. 7-11 next door (good to get milk and snacks for kids, beer, chips for adults :-)) also, walk about 5-10 minutes and you can enjoy Rambuttri and Khao...

Wonderful river view room with balcony, cleaned daily, lovely roof top pool, real sun trap, sanctuary in busy city, ideal location for river trips, really cheap to visit all tourist sights and close to all nightlife and markets in Khosan road and surrounding streets. Had meal in restaurant overlooking river, excellent meal, more expensive for food and drinks than many...

Friendly safe during all of our stay. Clean and good size room. Lovely breakfast buffet you can enjoy alongside the river. Shame about the dirty water. Apart from the noise from the local bars as we faced the road we enjoyed our visit.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
