This small hotel offers good value in the heart of Bangkok; spacious, clean rooms and bathrooms with TV programs in English. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Real Italian coffee is served at breakfast (choice of cooked or continental). There were, however, two downsides for me personally: a) the mattresses in our room were decidedly too firm for my...

This small hotel and staff are wonderful. If you want a big hotel with a hundred rooms, a pool, and room service meals, etc., this is not for you. If you want charm and quality at a fair price than this is the place. The rooms are good size with everything well placed. Bathroom is large. Location is great as...

We enjoyed our stay at the Baan Sukhumvit Soi 18 and definitely recommend it as a great place to stay. This Boutique Inn is is a haven away from the busy streets of Bangkok. The advice from Kevin and the team was terrific, nothing was a problem, breakfast was great and the complimentary use of the computer/internet an added bonus.

In December 2010 we spent two nights at Baan Sukhumvit's Soi 18 location and one night at Soi 20. Both spots were very good and sported incredible staff, managed by an Englishman named Kevin (great guy!). The rooms in both locations were very clean and had good-sized bathrooms. An example of the excellent management at this hotel: On New Years...

This B&B was a quaint, quiet, clean, well maintained property in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok. The owner was extremely hospitable in allowing us to check in very early (around 10 AM) and both himself and the manager were very friendly and helpful in providing some recommendations of what to do around Bangkok (although the owner recommended a restaurant, 'P...

Did a weekend trip with my wife at bangkok and decided to lodge at baan sukhumvit soi 18 after reading the good reviews on tripadvisor. We took a cab from the airport to sukhumvit road which most, if not all, taxi drivers seem to be familiar with. Soi 18 was quite easy to locate as well and the directions given...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
