Nice budget hotel in Bangkok CBD area. Not so far from Lumphini MRT station and there is hourly shuttle between the hotel to the station (one way only). Room wise is very simple, not much amenities given (simple coffee and tea, soap and shampoo in container, plus towels and shower cap. That's it). Room area is reasonably spacious, and they...

Unbelievably low price for great value/good service/nice room. Much appreciated. Good walking neighborhood (if you like to walk and see Bangkok from street level), relatively close to massive shopping malls and LUMPINI park. Love that park!

I usually stay around Sathorn area when I travel to Bangkok and this is my first time to stay in Ibis Bangkok Sathorn for 2 rooms 2 nights. comparing to 3-star hotels around this area, the price is average with international standard that really convince me to choose the hotel. I don't expect to get a big room because this...

Stopped here for the night with my boyfriend and 3 cats before we flew out of Thailand last fall. The hotel was simple but super clean, quiet, and in an area that had what we needed. The fact that I could bring my pets with me and keep them in the room before our flight was really perfect for us.

The hotel has a typical corporate feel to it. The staff are friendly however not geared for holiday guests or English speaking. The rooms are well equipped with safe, TV, tea/coffee making facilities but not very spacious with very small bathrooms. Comfortable for a night or 2 stay. The restaurant has a fair variety of foods catering for several cultures....

This hotel depends on daily tour groups, mostly from France, China, and Korea. There are 4-5 coaches in the car park (limiting guests access) during high seasons. Restaurant service is primarily for breakfast (mediocre fare) and simplified service for other times ( You're encouraged to take your set meal to your room or takeaway). Pluses are 7/11 across the road...

A good choice for middle class hotel. The rooms are proper with all necessities available. A small walking distance away from the underground from where you can connect to anywhere in the city. The main road has plenty of taxis and close to lumphini park and silom mall.

Pity....was one of my favourite hotels for longer stays.... Not that nice anymore. Remotes not working, platinum benefits not respected and everything getting old and worn out ... Bathroom is a catastrophy. Fridge is not cooling. Etc.etc. And why do they still have 18" TV s come on.... No icemaker anyway, no glasses in the room. Soap-Dispensers complete the stench...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
