It was a nice stay... Clean rooms, helpful staff and well located. Would definitely recommend for travelers on a budget. Its quite close to the river which can be a great means of transportation in bangkok.

This hotel was built in 1965 and probably looks exactly as it did then. It is worn, but we'll maintained and cared for by the staff. It has some quirks, like limited hot water times, but I never found it to be a problem. The staff is helpful and never tried to run any games on me. I've stayed at...

We stayed in deluxe room which had balcony facing the pool with comfortable chairs, which was nice for late night beer and snacks. Room was big and properly furnished with chairs and a table in a stylish 80th design. Staff was kind, though not that helpfull with turist information. Wifi costs extra and laundry service is a bit expensive. Location...

Bit of a shock after our previous luxury hotel, but once we adjusted enjoyed our stay. The hotel is close to great shops, the antique variety, river boat service and train. We didn't use the train, but the boat was great value, at 15 baht to wherever we desired. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly. The room was clean...

We stayed here at the end of our trip for three days. Not the place to stay if you want to party but great for a family or to have some down time. Whilst the interior decor is not the most modern the staff are polite, the rooms are big, the food is very reasonable and the swimming pool is...

For the price, we expected better. The room was dingy, the sheets and blankets were not fresh or particularly clean. The bathroom was tiny and the drain visibly clogged with hair. The AC remote did not work, so it became freezing in the middle of the night. Complimentary breakfast was not memorable. The only advantage of Swan Hotel is its...

This particular hotel is on lower end price wise but very good value.Make sure you barter for a good deal and also if you are single make sure too mention no lady friend fines at reception. There is transport always at the door and is only a 10 minute walk to the main shopping areas.

We have stayed here on four different trips to Bangkok. We always keep coming back. Love the location, the staff are helpful and friendly and the place is kept very clean and it is safe. The pool is great too. They always look after us very well. True, it could use some updating, but it is clean. Breakfast is hearty and included...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
