We've been commuting to Bangkok for annual checkups at its splendid Bumrungrad Hospital now for nine years. Our health insurance covers the checkup but not the travel costs. Thru trial and error, we've learned the Oasis is the best budget choice in the hospital's vicinity -- better than the Sara Inn, the Asia Inn and all the dodgy joints on...

Stayed here for an astrology conference and found it to be suitable and very close to our location near Bumrungrad Hospital. A short walk to our destination and good coffee place nearby. Folks were friendly and we paid only about 1100 Bht per night. The room was small but served our requirements.

I booked these hotel through booking.com.My reason was saving time and getting more sleeping time before my doctor appointment.I stayed only over night due to my doctor appointment and blood test at next to building Bumrungrad hospital on September 21 early morning. It was awlful and terrible experience too. They took 1290 THB per room per night without breakfast.Actually this price was...

They put me in a room with an air conditioner that sounded like a jet engine. They became angry when I complained about it and even swore at me. The "manager" came out and said he wanted me to leave. I asked if he could fix the AC and he said no, no one has ever complained about it but...

The Oasis Inn is the best budget hotel we’ve yet found in the vicinity of Bangkok’s Bumrungrad Hospital. (The hospital, world-famous as a ‘medical tourism’ destination, is less than a block distant. My wife and I have had our annual check-up there every year since 2008.) The Oasis is a 24 room, two star hotel on a quiet side street....

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Oasis Inn for a 3 day weekend trip to Bangkok. We didn't want to spend a lot of money on a room but we wanted something better than the $15 a night hotels you can find in Bangkok. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. It was very loud. Our first night the...

Terrible, from the bed sheets covered with blood stains to the staff shouting (yes, shouting) at each other since early morning. Location is fine, 10 minutes walking from Phloen Chit BTS station. Rooms are so so, but not properly clean. No elevator and no one willing to take your suitcase up to the room. Hard if not impossible to pay...

I booked two days at standard room. The room is clean fulfilled with all the basis needs, I couldn't find dryer but able to ask from the staff. Receptionist and all the staffs are very helpful. They allow me for early check in and late check out as i have requested. They have mini library and provide a lot of...

We stayed for One night at Oasis Inn after a Two year gap. It is still the BEST place to stay if you are in Bangkok to visit the Bumrungrad Hospital. We have stayed here 3 times before. I had booked the cheapest room but yet the room was big with everything we need..AC, Wifi, TV, Fridge, Microwave and a...

Already had my repeated stay in the same hotel. Hotel staff are very friendly, rooms and public areas are clean and tidy. The only issue was the intermittent wi-fi connection due to the location of my room ***. Overall a very pleasant experience. If you prefer a home-stay style place in the middle of city centre (only 5 minutes walk...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

“A lot of guests already mentioned here, always ask to view other room types at check in. Stairs may be an issue to many but I am totally fine with it. Actually I am surprised by their array of TV channels selection being a family hotel. Personally I think this is more suitable to holiday makers than business travelers”
