Stayed four nights to ‘do’ Bangkok. Lovely staff super rooms and a great breakfast Near to the underground which is the best way to get around as taxis will get stuck in the traffic, and some local bars and places to eat. I would recommend this as a base for your trip.
Great hotel at a decent price. We liked the location, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Really nice roof top pool area! Rooms are also great. Nice with complememtary water, coffee, etc. On the minus side is that the two bedrooms in our big hothel room had a window between them at the ceiling, making light go through which disturbed our kids.
Our room (802) was dated and did not have enough outlets. There is a tablet that shows you the room service menu and hotel information; it also serves as a clock; the charging station of the tablet is the only USB outlet in the room we found. The bathroom was spacious. The lobby was gorgeous, but the hotel staff at the reception were not as efficient and seemed unwelcoming when we had checked in. Breakfast options were repetitive, the restaurant staff wasn't as attentive in taking away our plates, and our breakfast drinks were sometimes incorrect and not delivered promptly even if the restaurant was not busy and had enough staff available. The MRT station was accessible, but the hotel was not at a central location.
Our room was very spacious even the bathroom. It had two sinks a bathtub a separate shower and even a toilet room. The king bed was comfortable and the sound proofing kept out the noise of the busy street. The shower was reasonable but the temperature would change suddenly. The breakfast was good with a variety of western and Asian foods. The orange juice was not juice just a very sweet orange drink. The hotel is just 400 m. from an MRT station making it fairly easy to get around.
Amazing stay at Lancaster. Was a short trip, yet saved a lot of time due to the convenient location. Just walking distance to boat pier, airport train station and MRT. Also, offer great food and 24hr in room dine in. Chief Concierge AKE was the best who helped us to navigate through Bangkok without getting lost during this short stay. Upgraded to 17th floor premium suite and highly satisfied about the luxury facilities they provide. Highly recommend.
Good hotel in busy area. Location is ok. Rooms are new, clean and have excellent size. Theyu have a good bar and restaurant at the hotel. Check in/concierge staff are ok, but could be a bit more helpful.
Loved everything about the hotel, comfort, fluffy pillows, food and staff. Location was great!! I had dinner there every night, The whole staff was wonderful, from reception to the cleaning lady. Pom was the sweetest waitress there, very attentive, she served me everyday. I would recommend this hotel 100%.
It's really good hotel property having outstanding infrastructure like well designed rooms, swimming pools, gym, restaurants. We had 4 rooms including 3 suites but all having poor housekeeping. Bugs in carpet, mosquitoes in room made stay uncomfortable. In addition rooms were not cleaned & we had to call for maintenance. No turn down service in the evenings. Breakfast was very limited and not having elaborate spread like any 5 Star hotel. Food was not tasty. Overall no proactive management intervention visible.
The Lancaster was amazing! My wife and I started our honeymoon in Bangkok. We are both first time visitors to Thailand. The staff was incredibly inviting and hospitable. Everyone greets you with a big smile. The front desk staff helped us with anything we needed from directions to the subway to dinner recommendations. I cannot say how pleased we are with our choice to stay at the Lancaster during our time in Bangkok.
Gym is amazing here, I really appreciated the cleanliness and fresh water with fruit slices in the hallway. Pool is very shaded and wasn’t hot enough to use, but seems nice Staff and room met expectations, very accommodating and well kept. I would probably do the breakfast option next time.
