We liked the location : skytrain , trainstation and boatstation is near by. The stuff is very helpful and its also a good place for people just arrived in Bangkok because there is a touristinformation in the house. The doubleroom without AC is tiny but clean. It's good for the inexpensive price and for Bangkok!

Stayed in the female dorm and every day the cleaning staff emptied the trash and swept the floor and cleaned the bathrooms and showers. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's down a little alley off of a busy street that can be easily taken if walking to sights Bangkok offers (I personally walked all around Bangkok and it was...

Located in a site-street - so it is really quiet! There's a place outside to chill out and two computers are available to use. The next metro station and ferry port is a 10min walk away. It's also around 10 min to China Town. Don't stay there if you want to spend time in KhaoSan road. As it is quite...

This guesthouse occupies a small corner-village, with two room buildings and one for short and long storage. Go Beyond also functions over there, in case you'd like more touristic information and to book some tours around SE Asia. I stayed in the mixed room, in the second building (the one with the bar). The stairs are kind of narrow, and...

We stayed here a few weeks ago- first off its a pain to find- if you are coming from the train station on foot the sign is pointed the other way so you have to walk past it and come back to find it. If you get to the post office its 2 turn offs (from memory) after it. We...

We found this hotel good value for money for a family room. It was nicer than we expected, had its own bathroom. Breakfast not included. You have to stand in the corridor or go downstairs to the seating area for wifi but at least it's there of you need it! Harmonious is a lovely restaurant just around the corner -...

We stayed three nights, good location. Room very basic but very clean. Good value for the money we paid. Very nice atmosphere in the lounge with free coffee all day long and nice staff. Worths the money so if you pass by bongkok and need room for only sleeping this is one of the places i recommend.

This is my second visit here. My first was quite pleasant then I stayed in Dorm A. This visit was a bit different. This visit I booked first a backpackers room (step above dorm) 280 baht vs 250 baht for dorm. I stayed there for one night. The room (BP-1) had a bunk bed and one ceiling fan. Paint peeling...

I booked that GH l as it was close to places I needed to go for business meetings and friends living around there over the week-end. The staff is very friendly and professional. Commun area, restaurant, etc are nice and clean. Though, I booked a double standard through Agoda for thb 900, the room was very small and nothing special...

Yeah you heard it right! Despite of the good location of the guest house and a nice lobby, the room that we stayed was infested with bedbugs! We realized until the day after when my girlfriend had so many bites that we couldn't count! We told the staff but they didn't did anything! It's a shame make sure you don't...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
