This lodging is simply unbeatable for the price at this location in the Ratchathevi area. The walking distance to Pratunam market, Platinum Fashion Mall, Big C, and Central World shopping is so convenient. We were given a big clean, quiet room even though it faced the road since we were on the 12th floor. The bed was very comfortable and we slept soundly. Tasty snacks were available from 2 to 5 pm. The snacks had interesting presentations which changed every day We were impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. The management attended to our locked safe within ten minutes due to the wrong code. Even the cleaning staff were attentive to the slightest details. Of course, every accommodation has its drawbacks. It was challenging climbing into a bathtub and the location of the water closet was rather unusual. Overall, it was a good place to stay and it is highly recommended for travelers. There are better hotels in the locality but these are those with deeper pockets, for sure.

This was a very good choice for a short stay in Bangkok. First, it is very conveniently located for the BKK airport, as it is a couple hundred metres from the Airport Link rail service. Less that 100 baht for two people from the airport to the hotel for two people--same for return! It is also convenient for shopping, although maybe not as much as other areas for the big malls. However, there is a large night/street market about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The area seemed very safe, even at night, and we had no issues whatsoever. We used Grab to get to further locations. There are plenty of restaurants and mimi-marts in the area, although areas such as Sukhumvit have more options. The check-in was smooth, and even though we were an hour or so early, we were permitted into our room immediately. The lobby is small, but there is a second sitting area overlooking the main lobby. In this area, there were afternoon snacks and drinks, which we used on both days of our stay. On one day, a couple young people were playing violins, quite well, I think. The room was a good size, with the unusual feature of the toilet on the other side of the room from the basin and tub/shower. The tub was large and circular, big enough for two people, although we didn't use it. The shower was excellent, with good pressure and good temperature. The bed was large and had the right firmness for us, firm but a little softer than our home bed. The room--and the hotel overall--was spotlessly clean. One could see that care is taken regularly with the hotel. Even the outside area was clean. We loved the breakfast, which one takes on the rooftop (indoors or outdoors) beside the pool. There were western, Thai and Chinese options. Even sushi was available. The pastries were nice and there was fresh fruit available. The staff serving the breakfast were professional, efficient and friendly. They went beyond expectations to ensure that everyone had what they needed. I don't drink coffee, but my wife said it was fantastic. We enjoyed eating outdoors watching the sunrise (jet lag caused us to awaken early). The view from the rooftop, especially after dark, was delightful. We would have stayed at the Akara on our second (longer) trip to Bangkok, on our way home, but it was fully booked. We may be back in Bangkok in August and the Akara will be our first choice.

Great overall stay! Spent the weekend to celebrate my mom birthday and was greeted with surprises from Khun Patcha and team! The breakfast is also great! Although not wide variety, the menu changes everyday. The food is of good quality and the restaurant stuff takes service excellence very seriously! He will make an effort to remember your coffee order and help you with the food plate! Writing this review from Bangkok Airport. I recently stayed at Akara Hotel Bangkok and unfortunately, it was not the pleasant experience I had hoped for. We were on the 9th floor and the whole night we could hear traffic noise. One side faces Busy Road and the other side Train. We both had to wear ear plugs the whole night and still it was noisy. Couldn’t sleep for 4 nights. We were supposed to come back from Pattaya for extra 2 nights instead we stayed somewhere else. We even lost our money for 2 nights at Akara. Breakfast area very small Water dripping from the ceiling to the floor in breakfast room. Every now and then room keys would not work and we would wait outside our door till someone comes after 10 minutes 😂 Wifi connection very weak. When you check out, they check your room to see if any towels or anything missing 😂 and ask you to wait for 5-7 minutes… never ever experienced that. We had asked for standing shower and they gave us tub full of mould. My husband has knee issues and he almost fell because it was hard to get in and out. Horrible part is that the layout of the bedroom’s toilet is on one side then you pass beds and extreme right side is sink and Tub. No sink next to toilet. So you go on the other end to wash your hands. Please stay somewhere else. Upon checkout they insist you to give good feedback on trip advisor. I would rate this Hotel 2-3* definitely not a 5*

Excellent hotel near a Night Market, the Central World, which is a very large and well known shopping center, restaurants around,. The Hotel is a five star, the bedroom is very spacious with a bathroom in white marble separate tub. Comfortable bed Queen the staff is totally attentive. Cleanliness is excellent.
