Stayed one night back at the Boss Suites in Bangkok. Have stayed a few occasions before. Rooms showing sign of wear and tear and could now do with a lick of paint to bring them back up to speed. I found the power shower temperamental but after lots of fiddling about fot the overhead water working but not the side...

First - the hotel was nice, decent, clean, rooms/bed/bath comfortable enough. Not too far off of Sukhimvit. Breakfast was nice, lots of options included in the buffet. Just wanted to write a *warning* about the tourist info desk which is in the hotel lobby opposite to the reception desk. Not sure if they are affiliated but they seemed to endorse...

Cheap & good room, very clean and comfortable. The toilets are actually see through, with a thin shade for privacy which is none. Great for a solo trip and hook ups or a fun vacation with a partner. As you can see from the address, it is also nearby the famed nana plaza.

This is the second time I stayed @ boss suites. The first time was in April 2012 and it was a good value for money during our first stay. This time, we stayed at A Wing, it was a big disappointment. Towels were so dirty, the bathroom had a strange smell and the hallway was relatively noisy throughout the night.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
